Is this permabannable?

"Your family doesn't love you, and if you were my kid I wouldn't either" "you're a bad player, get out of my game" and consistent flame other than this.

I was permabanned for this and I really don't get it. These obviously aren't bad sayings, how could riot possibly justify a ban on this?

Edit: well these are words straight out of meteos's mouth. And we have boards voting in a majority saying that it's bannable, yet he remains unbanned.

these are riots pros and poster boys but we know they can get special treatment if......IF this is meteos im sure pros are far more toxic hell they are super toxic on their streams they just have lots of fan boys who agree with them doesnt make them right but i cant verify the photo also this forums supposed to have a no player shaming rule stupid rule but a rule.

People have been 'punished' for that. Yes. It's possible he got punished and decided to knock if off. I don't have access to all his games.

The LCS players have some kind of protections against bans, so they can be toxic n insult pplz and remains unbanned. Their tribunal is corrupted.

Oh how wrong you are. A simple search will show that pro players have in fact been banned before in the past for poor behavior. Some examples include IWillDominate, XhaoWeiXhao, Incarnati0n and FORG1VEN (sp?). Some were allowed to play again because they cleaned up their acts and proved that they reformed (their old accounts remain permabanned though despite that).

Also, the Tribunal hasn't been up for years now, which proves even more that you're just making up things to try to form an argument.

Jensen was toxic as fuck until Riot pulled him out and let him play again. They aren't gonna let a good player sit even if he's toxic. You think all that salt thrown back and forth in the old days wasn't toxicity? They don't care, they need it to make money. They are about as worried about game integrity as the NFL.

He was allowed to play again because he proved to RIot that he had reformed and changed his behavior for the better. It had nothing to do with him being a good player at the game. If you have any actual valid proof though that says otherwise then please post it here.

Not my game chat, I'm not challenger yet. But he said it to some dude named masterfiend. He's a streamer who plays lol at master tier level with a laptop trackpad, Meteos has a grudge against him for some reason.

The people in his game have the opportunity to report him for his in-game chat. If random viewers are offended by what was on his stream they can choose to bring it up with the streaming site or better yet, don't watch the stream.

I don't watch his stream anymore, meteos is a douche. Donated money to him one time for a song, legit said your song fucking sucks and skipped it. Then went back to top40 pop.

I guess I don't have the right to report him, and I'm not trying to. Just don't understand why he can get away with being toxic, whereas other players cannot.

A great deal of them would also agree that they believe that you should be banned from the boards, but that is not their right or power to remove you (as annoying as you are).

You, for some reason, hold a deep resentment against Meteos because of Tyler's ban even though the circumstances are much different between the two people.

Tyler was constantly perma-banned by the automatic system. And I don't believe Meteos has been perma'ed ever. Why would Riot treat the two people the same?

They should treat all players the same. If they're going to ban at least be consistent. I see toxic trash every game that doesn't get banned, if not several. No deep resentment against meteos. Big c9 fan, want them to win worlds. Just using him as an example really, could be substituted with others.

Think about it, if they banned me from boards wouldn't that be proving my points about free speech etc? That'd be perfect, come onto boards talking about limiting free speech, only to be banned by rito games.

This is a discussion board, if they banned contrasting opinions the entire thing would just be the ekko of the hivemind. Creating a boards meta lmao.

Since the banning system is automated, it is consistent. It's not like there's a person behind each and every ban deciding if it goes through.

You keep pulling up single instances of poor behavior, when it takes consistent poor behavior reported to actually flag a review.

What you're asking for is actually unequal treatment. You're asking Riot to bypass the normal ban system just to ban this one person for a single instance of poor behavior that you weren't even in the game for.

You're asking a loaded question, because it depends on the player's current punishment level. That alone is not worth permabanning someone over. But people don't get banned for a couple instances of being toxic. They get banned for demonstrating a consistent history of it. If you're coming off a 14-day ban, that will get you permabanned because that's the next step. If you haven't, something like that would probably only draw a chat restriction, or nothing at all if that's the first time you've done anything.

Of course I'm going to tell a bronze player he sucks if he posts on boards saying "I only lose because my teammates are autistic" and then has a kda of 2/10.

Being honest isn't toxic. It's the truth that if you're in bronze, you belong there. And it is easy to get out of if you even have a slight understanding of the game. If someone else comes in and blames them losing on their teammates, then yes, I'm telling him he is bad.

Maybe I'm just a little too blunt for some people. But it's better than lying.

Are you trying to tell me that some kid who averages 2/10 across every single ranked game he's ever played isn't in bronze because it's his fault?

He's the douche for coming on boards trying to blame his own mistakes on his teammates autism, I'm not a douche for correcting him.

It was someone he knew, who he had a history of bullying. The dude is actually really chill, but he was depressed one time and meteos told him to fuck himself on a pm.

This wasn't a joke between friends. The person he said it to had an issue with him saying it and it was toxic. The above quotes were said in a game.

so the question was:

Did his opponents report him? So many of the higher ELO people always think "what is the point?". No report = no chat scan = toxic game goes undocumented.
If he does this enough, he'll be punished. If it was just a game or two here and there, he won't get punished.

Humans are biased, simple fact. That player should be banned, regardless of what League they're in or they're popularity. I believe that Riot is more lenient with pro players, but I also believe that pro players likely don't report others as much. However, if a streamer, then I believe it's worse due to the influence that can have on viewers who want to be like the person they're watching.

It's one comment that should be reported and would be a red mark on Meteos account. However, that one comment alone isn't enough to warrant a punishment. It would take multiple steps for Meteos to get permabanned.

First, Meteos would have to consistently say things like and be consistently reported.
Second, he'd have to go through the various tiers of punishment (chat restriction, chat restriction, temporary ban).
Third, he'd have to continue acting that way after receiving each of those punishments.
Fourth, he'd have to continue to act that way after coming back from a temporary ban. Then, this comment would be reported, probably trigger a punishment, which in that case would then be permanent.

One comment (like that) from one game won't get anyone permanently banned. It wouldn't even get anyone chat restricted.
