@Riot, I want a Wall of Shame.

Pretty simple. When you ban/suspend someone, all of their info gets put on a Wall of Shame - Summoner Name, Offence, Duration (7 Day, 14 Day, Permanent).

I only block the absolute scummiest players so I would love to be able to go back through my block list and check up on them. (have they reformed? were they only exceptionally toxic to me in that game? or have they finally been punished?)

What would putting a banned account on the wall of shame even do?

  1. 7 day bans do not exist.
  2. When given a 14 day ban, players are given a final chance to turn a new leaf. What would inciting harassment do to accomplish that goal except alienate them even more from the community and cause them to be permanently banned?
  3. Permanent bans are permanent, as a dead person remains dead. What would shaming a banned account do if the player no longer has access to the account?

Well, Riot probably wouldn't do a "Wall of Shame" because, frankly, you shouldn't be looking for reasons to block players or go witch hunting, which is exactly what a Wall of Shame would be for. That'd just create an overall negative environment, because everybody'd just be out to hate everybody on the wall, regardless of their current behavior.

The mere concept of a "Wall of Shame" is honestly pretty damn scummy in and of itself, in my eyes. You don't need this big list of every player with a strike on their record, there's just no reason for it.

punishments are between riot and the player involved.
