AutoFill is the problem.
LoL should give players the option to choose either:
- Enable auto-fill if you prefer notably faster cue times, or
- Disable auto-fill to guarantee lane choice with longer cue times.
I'd happily wait longer to guarantee my lane choice.
I'm not the best player, that I fully admit. And at this point in my life (post 50), I don't have the dexterity that I used to, nor can I seem to remember the mechanics of too many different champions.
Yet, I still enjoy playing video games (I'm not dead yet), and I feel blessed that my 18 y.o. son still asks me if I want to join him on League despite the fact that he's more likely to win without me. And he's willing to swap lanes if I get auto-filled!
But, if I get auto-filled into let's say "Jungle" during a solo cue, and no one will swap lanes (which is too often the case), then I'll drop and take the 5-minute penalty. It's often to everyone's benefit. But, that also wasted everyone else's time who cued with me.
And apparently I'm not the only one who does this, because last time I tried to cue up, other players dropped 3x in a row, with two of the 3 times occurring during the initial champions selection (before the bans).
LoL - why not just let players individually **choose **to **cue-faster with auto-fill **or wait longer without auto-fill.
It'd overall be a lot more efficient because there'd be a lot fewer drops.
