What happens to players like these?

So I'm a support main. I'm usually always trying to be positive and encourage my teammates as well. It's what us supports should do best.

I played a game as soraka recently and my adc way overextended under the turret at an early level and I said, "don't overextend please. My w has 5sec cd right now." Then my adc says, "muted." Then at the endgame lobby he tells everyone to report me and that I was extremely toxic. He also said he hopes I get permanently banned... there were three other players who stayed in end game lobby. One was an ally, the other two asked my ally if I was being toxic, he didn't reply and left.

So I decided to report this guy for harassment because of what he was doing end game lobby. I'm just curious if that end game lobby gets noticed or if I can get banned at all even if other people report me that didn't even see my behavior.

If you got reported but didn't do anything, you won't get punished and it will be flagged as a false report. Post and pre game lobbies won't be investigated unless you specify they should be in your report.

If you were being a problem, yes their reports matter. If you were just ignoring them and playing the game as you should, there is no issue there and their reports cannot harm you if they are false regardless of how many report.

Lobbying to mass report a player is considered harassment and is a punishable offense itself, whether the one being harassed earned reports or not. Just report them silently so this doesn't happen!

As for lobby chat, the Instant Feedback System actually does not currently check logs there. They are still saved and can be pulled in a manual review though, so if you need to report lobby offenses make sure you report it and annotate what it was in the report description.

Bottom line, Riot don't care if you deserve a ban or not, and if you get reported enough you will get a ban. I have had friendly and completely irrelevant chat logs come up on the chat ban in the past just because of enemy troll teams. Nowadays I just muteall the moment I see mischief, and try not to say anything at all except ggwp at the end and in the lobby. (it seems to work) They leave it for a robot to decide and refuse to reconsider lifting bans regardless of if they are justly or unjustly banned. while encouraging trolls to trigger people and triumph as they report their victims and get them banned.. Most "unjust ban pls unban" threads are from those victims who decided to retaliate against a troll in the worst way possible since it is always the triggered person who is spouting the profanity. they don't care. The trolls don't care if they happen to get banned in the process either, because they can just make new accounts. System works.
