When a chat restriction occurs, I would like to know whether or not other users were punished too.

I would feel less angry and there would be no harm in knowing whether or not other players were also at fault. It lets us know how the system works, this way we get to see if it's fair.

I have no doubt that people have felt similar to myself and continue to repeat or worsen their behavior due to the fact that it comes across as being one-sided.

i.e. I have a 10 game chat restriction (even though the game was played a week ago). I recall our Lee Sin giving first blood due to poor positioning and then when asked by another teammate, "what are you doing?" he replies "who cares". At another point, he had also mentioned that this was his 9th account. Several other teammates also contributed heavily to the "toxic environment" with typical autistic remarks/insults or asking for reports in all chat while offering no actual advice on what to do.

I swore in that game several times as I was trying to communicate that I had been ganked several times, owned up to failing my lane as I do not know how to counter WW with Fiora yet every single one of my teammates (except our support) was relentlessly badgering me. Could I have muted them? Sure. But sometimes, I want to know who I'm playing with, and I legitimately asked for tips on how to riposte WW's Q, W or R effectively while being flamed to high heavens. Of course I'm going to be pissed off.

Did I deserve the chat restriction? Yeah. But I'd sure as hell love to know that the other people involved were also punished accordingly, especially the one who's on his 9th account.

It's fair. Right there in your post you say that it's fair.

You should consider using different insults. While insulting people will eventually result in another punishment (moving up the punishment scale), using hate speech may accelerate the rate of punishment, or even skip punishment tiers. Using a category of people as an insult is one of the things to avoid.

Swearing is allowed. Using any language to berate, insult, or harass a person isn't.

On to respond to the central idea of the thread: I too would like to see greater transparency/visibility in the punishment system. I once read a Rioter's post that said that report feedback was kept purposefully minimal to reduce the capability of trolls to game the system. I was initially unsatisfied with this, but with further review I understood the reasoning. I still want the visibility, but accept that we probably wont receive it.

Stop talking in game, mute and let it go. If you got a ifs popup after reporting youll know a punishment was issued.
