Banning teammate's champion in champ select

It is my understanding that the current Instant Feedback System in place is based on what we the players find toxic, and that what players can actually be banned for is based on what the majority of players agree is toxic.

So I am curious as to why Riot's official stance on banning a teammate's champion, is allowed.

Because the majority of players I talk to find this to be toxic, and harassment. If the IFS is really based on player input, shouldn't banning a teammate's champion be a bannable offense?

So, it is based on what players find toxic within reason. Further, it is based on what chat and gameplay players find toxic. A game mechanic cannot be inherently toxic - as it's the mechanics of the game.

The banning phase takes priority over the picking phase - that's how the game works. There would be just as many trolls if "hover" took priority over banning - but the damage would be quite a bit greater, as trolls could block pick or ban champs by hovering them as last pick, letting the enemy pick them.

I disagree. If someone's going to troll, you're going to lose regardless.

imo banning a teamates champion shouldnt be considered toxic at all... what if the enemy team has first pick? or a new champion just comes out and people wnat to play it but you dont want it on your ranked team.. and its good that its not because the player has the right to ban who ever they want if someone happens to get butthurt from it they can dodge or play someone else.. if they are toxic troll and flame then they can get banned
