If this isn't proof of Riot giving me a reacharound trying to sweep bots under the rug please tell me what it is.
Kei1431 votesThe universal rules against naming and shaming on the boards applies to everything. Toxicity, bad gameplay, inters, bots and all. So they have nothing against you there.
I don't know what you wrote to the support, but it looks like a suggestion to improve gameplay, and ideas that improve gameplay are welcomed on the boards, providing if it doesn't involve naming and shaming.

A multi billion dollar a year company can't handle a simple 3rd party program.
But I just figured out a way to get around the ban. If i simply post pictures of my co-op vs ai games and give no context while showing the bots, if riot takes THAT post down it will be complete proof they are pushing the problem under the rug. So I'll do that instead.

You are not paying for anything. You play for free. You are not above everyone else. Forum rules apply to everyone even to someone like you. No naming and shaming. We have report option after game. If you see someone botting, report him for cheating and move on with your life.
Also its impossible to prevent botting. You can catch and ban them, but they will make new accounts and do it again and again and again. Riot bans bots in waves, if you ever visited reddit or forums of sites that make those bots you would see people bitching all the time how they got banned for it.

Do you know what the definition of insanity is? It's doing something again and again and again expecting a diffrent result. If Riot cracked down on bots do you honestly expect the average person to make infinite accounts just to try and keep botting? NO THEY WOULDN'T, that is ludicrous.

For thinking that you are above rules. Terms of use of forums clearly state that you shouldnt name and shame for ANY reason. Yet you disregarded it and broke that rule anyway. And when forum mods pointed it out and just deleted it, instead of punishing you for breaking rule, instead of apologizing and thanking them, you went aggro mode how they are supporting bots.
Botted accounts get banned all the time.
This is one of threads where person complained how he got banned for no reason few months ago and i pointed out that he was botting which is obvious in his match history if you scroll down.

Chermorg1 votesAs Kei143 said, the support ticket response was to ideas you presented - not reports. Riot’s system does catch bots and is very efficient at it - it simply does not punish instantly for a variety of reasons.

Chermorg1 votesIf you gave them ideas in support, they are not empowered to do anything about them. Riot does not take ideas through support tickets. That is why you would have gotten that response from them - if you show us what you said to support in your ticket we can tell you maybe why they responded that way.

Chermorg1 votesI can understand your frustration, but the reason you got that response is because it appears your support ticket was nothing more than a rant that didn’t really need any response. There was absolutely no support that you needed - even if they could do something about that suggestion they will not release information about their detection systems or punishments that they apply.
The support system is not for making suggestions for the game - the support system is for getting help with technical, account, or other problems in the game that may need some professional assistance. That’s what you were told there - your ideas regarding bot detection would certainly be welcome on the Gameplay boards, but the boards are not for reporting other players, as you were told by Evangele.

when an account is unfairly stolen from a player by a corrupt company, this is the result
Telephone Booth1 votesYou can't name and shame for your opinion that said account is a "bot". Believe it or not, some people are really horrible at this game and have been mistaken for bots before. So regardless of how accurate your determination is, it's still naming and shaming and we can't just trust anyone at their word.
As for botting, they try to track those accounts to find who made them. Then they pursue the creators legally. They have to do that so they can legally handle it, not just ban individual accounts and move on. They want to shut down entire sites.
There's no conspiracy here man. Just report em when you see em, and let the successful game company handle it. You might be a little more ignorant than you think, and they might be deserving of a little more credit, considering they've created one of the most popular online games. Maybe they are actually doing something... not just "sweeping it under the rug".
