New surefire way to get rid of botting in co-op vs ai

Lower the exp/ip gains to 40% of normal. Riot sacrifices low level players to the bots anyway so they shouldnt have any problems doing this.

If anything this will just create more bots since it takes longer for each bot to level to 30.

I think you underestimate just how persistent bots are, and even if you lowered it to 1% exp per game, it still wouldn't be enough to discourage bots.

If co-op vs ai games were 1% rewards making a purely botted account would take years. And if bots ran rampant in pvp riot would have to take more action. It's a win win

Ok, obviously Riot can't make the rewards 1%.

But what more action could Riot take to prevent botting? They already have a system that detects the bots, they just get banned in waves, and new ones appear instantly.

That does actually seem like a good idea. Assuming they stay in vs AI and dont move to other queues/modes. Once actual players are allowed to play Normals, let them as it would take too long to level up in Vs AI. This in turn will make it easier to catch bots trying to level up as no one would waste their time leveling up an account solely on Vs Ai. Then by the time they get to level 30 the account should already be close to being ban/flagged for being a botted account. But this solely depends on them staying in Vs AI. We already know (mainly in low level queues) they have moved to ARAM.

I think the most likely result of it would be them moving to other modes - but as far as I know, this hasn't been tried yet so we can't really know for sure.

But again though this all depends on them staying in Vs Ai. If they do move then this plan wouldn't work or at least in the intended way we want to. But like you said we haven't tried it yet so we really don't know.

I wouldn't want Riot to test something out as big of a problem as this is because the backfire just wouldn't be worth it!
