I dont want this to become another singed/nunu support thing

I just got from a game with a sion "support" with smite tp. He picked sion in pregame, which isnt too odd as a support. Ive seen it before. it happens every now and then. BUT. he had smite and tp on. I pointed it out saying "sion smite tp?" didnt answer at all in the game, everyone notices it, and asks about it, doesnt respond. No one said anything negative about it until about 3-4 minutes in when he stole the blue from our jungler. thats when we started calling him out. still no chat. At one point, i said "if sion said just one thing, i wont report him." guess what didnt say a damn word.

I dont want to come to the boards in 3 days because this guy was "unjustly" punished for "breaking the meta". do what you want to play, play your nami adc or what ever, just talk at least once.

since people are confused on what i mean by "support" sion, its this guy http://i.imgur.com/AHFBEBE.png no sightstone, gets a jungler item. and also this is ranked, if you want to say "experimenting"

If you interpret what i said as a threat, fine. i dont, but this was about the 20 minute mark i said it, he had plenty of time to talk, and i was already set on reporting him for not communicating. which is what he did. i was giving him a way out so it wouldnt happen

no, i was already going to report him. i was giving him an out. my intention was always to report him. i just wanted to see if i could make him talk, and if he did, i wouldnt report him. i was asking him all game to talk. this wasnt my first request. he was refusing to talk from the moment champ select started.

Maybe he didn't speak your language :D maybe he disabled his chat maybe he etc

Wouldn't lose sleep over this unless you really want to if its a small occurrence report and move on

communicating is part of the game. like i said, you want to nami adc, go ahead, as long as you talk. you shouldnt just instantly disable chat, and you are right he could just not speak english, but just a "i dont speak english" or the equivalent of their language would work.

Offering that Sion the opportunity to defend himself is not really a threat. OP could have probably been more diplomatic, but honestly, I believe OP gave Sion more benefit of doubt than most people would have in that situation.

He used his smite to take the jungle camp from your own jungler. Is it reportable and if he keeps doing it he will be punished. No one cares what sums he took to bot lane; but he played in a way that would ensure his team would be behind.

sion is good support , nunu is not a support at all , just top or mid or jungle thats where nunu is strong

None of the cases (smite nunu, smite singed, this sion) were EVER about the champion picks, but about the gameplay/game style. I can't believe people still don't understand this.

This sion -just like 2 previous cases- wasn't supporting, he's just being an as%hole.

God damn reading this was cringy. Your Sion went 5/8/2 which given the rest of your teams stats isin't that bad. He played better then your ADC who honestly should have been playing smarter if the Sion was off Meta. But i bet what she instead did was go into lane over and over and over andget caught out every time.

Off meta picks are gonna happen and it really just looks like your whining because you want someone to blame. Let it go. You dont have to report him because you lost. Just move on to the next one.

If what OP said was right, this Sion is literally re-creating the Singed/Nunu Smite Support crap all over again. He can still be punished for being uncooperative & giving his teammates a shitty time, doesn't even matter if they won the game or not.

At least both Singed & Nunu did said their strats to their own respective team, meanwhile, as OP claimed, this Sion never said a word.

Absolutely agreed. Nunu and Singed were tricky cases, due to blurry definition of "communicating with the team"... but this isn't a grey area by any stretch. Sion didn't give any insight as to what his plan was, despite obliterating the standard strategies for both, botlane and jungle.

This was, plain and simple, somebody not wanting to support and instead stealing somebody else's role. And this is the one time this actually an adequate simpification of the case.

Seriously, if they're supposed to play support, but instead pick smite and go counterjungling, I don't really care if "it" communicates or not. It's still trolling and playing against your own team.

no, i reported him for not talking. how would he be reported if he talked? and the adc was against mf and rumble (idk why rumble but w/e) so wasnt exactly in a good position to "play smarter" when she was 1v2. i can link you the game history and you can see the time line, if you want. she only died 2 times by 10 minutes, which 2v1 isnt too bad. i cant prove it with you, but the sion didnt talk with us, and seemed to just wonder around stealing from our jungler and pushing a lane then leaving a laner with a pushed lane and no minions to farm

You reported him "for not talking". Yet there an option in the game to /mute all. He probably was annoyed with a game and gone off-meta. Just decided to keep quiet and /mute all.

Its annoying. But Riot promotes that kind of play with these features sadly.

But you have a legit report option for Griefing.

i dont know if i do have a reason to report for griefing. all in all, he proved he had skill at the game (he had god like ults) but he took from our team by stealing our junglers stuff and laners cs, and left the adc alone to fight 1v2. Whether he made a good descision or not is up for debate. But he never said anything, from the begining. I dont have a pic of the pre game chat, but it is only a few people saying hi, some "anyone you want me to play", and me asking if his sums are correct, to which he said nothing the entire time. he is blatently ignoring us at that point. If you make ZERO attempt to talk, its not communicating

Let alone good decision making. If he purposely made the jg behind by stealing the leash is considered Griefing though. And if he kept stealing camps from the jungle while he is farming them. Is also considered Griefing.

Though this is debatable though. Its just how Riot lookouts at it, and they can decide about it. If not, Unsportsmanlike conduct is another valid one thinking about it. All it depends if he keep doing it throughout more games. A single report won't do much.

Support-smite offers a few benefits: steal enemy jungle, take some, but not all of your own jungle, deep enemy warding, solo lane experience for the ADC, and 3v1 ganks. You should be communicating your intentions with supp-smite, since you'll likely be leaving your ADC for extended periods of time. If he didn't communicate and took a majority of your side's jungle, you should have reported him for refusing to communicate and not playing his designated role.

If you left his name intact on the Op.GG then we could investigate a little more on how often this phenomenon occurs and render a better opinion.

In this one game if he's experimenting then the onus was on him to communicate his intention... Especially if that intention was to steal your ally's blue buff. His failure to do so despite being questioned about his choice was wrong... but not necessarily bannable.

If he continued to exhibit this behavior then I think he should be banned/suspended for it.

To be honest the strategy may hold some weight if he starts at the ENEMY blue buff, dies to take it and uses his passive to secure the buff. He could then TP to lane with the blue buff and harass endlessly with his e.

It looks like he played 3-4 games of soraka jungle, several games of akali jungle, 2 games of the support sion with tp and smite, and even some teemo jungle, and a lux jungle. His overall winrate is 44%, which is expected of such random picks (especially if he's not communicating). If he continues to negatively impact his teammates' games then I suspect that he will receive a ban.

"Experimenting" in ranked is nothing new. People will play a champion for the first time in ranked. Or they'll try and break the strategic meta by doing singed or nunu support with smite. This guy plays random picks in the jungle, and has recently decided to try it at the support role.

Remember that him having smite doesnt mean he is jungle. he could have easily picked soraka because he was put in support but got smite

In the games where he had smite on soraka there was no other smite on any member of his team. He built jungle items, so I think it's safe to assume he was the jungler.
