Perma-chat ban will never work, and here's why:

Let me ask you this: Why do you have to be toxic to your teammates? Imho, I'm very sure it is just to:

  • attempting to piss off your teammates for their mistakes.
  • taunt unnecessarily.
  • just plain angry or having a bad day, & you decided to take it all out on your own teammates.

Now let's say you got perma-chat, and you think you're all safe from the punishment system now, aye? Well guess what? You're not.

Another game doesn't go your way, so you got frustrated all over again, and let's be real, no one is dumb enough to still continue using the chat system when no one's reading it. Yeah, you would think that throwing stuffs around or shouting at the computer screen may be ironically embarrassing & bad mannered, assuming you're living with your family or friends. So what do you do as a last resort? The answer is:

#AFK or Intentionally Feed

You heard me, this is definitely what you would do to express your frustration. Any excuses you have in mind thinking my statement is dumb, keep reading the bolded text in my last paragraph. So for the last time, just take the punishment you have right now, be it a chat restriction, 14 days suspension or especially a permaban.

They already had perma chat ban and yes it did make people feed instead.

Not only limited to AFK'ing or intentionally feeding, because some people are aware enough that they notice this can quickly get themselves banned.

They'll follow the jungler and try to steal farm. They'll join a different lane and try to take all the cs. Waste their ult every time it's up. Uselessly farm a lane and just run far away when there's a hint of combat. Etc.

All those extremely difficult things for a automated system to find and catch. So we've replaced an easy-to-detect form of poor behavior, with poor behavior that's a pain in the ass to detect.

So yeah, there's no reason to allow people to continue playing if they've shown to be adamantly toxic. Because if you restrict chat from those players, they'll just find another outlet.

Most of the time I see toxic players is when someone is making bad plays over and over, or playing very poorly, or feeding. It is easier to get perma ban for telling at a 0/11/0 Rengar and 0/11/0 yasuo then it is for them to get banned for feeding. Yes happened to me, not perma but a week or so. dont' remember because I switched to HoTS for awhile.

Let me ask you this. What is toxicity? Who decides who is being toxic? And how can toxicity be determined without seeing both sides of the argument or the actual game where the context was shown?

You know what makes me toxic? Being stuck in a Q with random strangers who can't split up the 5 roles or 130+ Champions between themselves and aren't sure if they want to play for fun or win. Then being continuously stuck as they make bad plays, get slaughtered, blame teammates and refuse to surrender. Then knowing the only way I can get out it unharmed is to wait for the game to end 40 minutes later, since leaving will get me a leaverbuster and guaranteed AFK reports. That's what makes me toxic.

Now let's say you got perma-chat, and you think you're all safe now from being toxic to your teammates, aye? Well guess what? You're not.

Really? How am I going to be toxic verbally to anyone when I'd have no way to communicate? You got to exapla

I'll bet the amount of reports and punishments decrease 99%.

AFK

I'm not going to AFK. That'd get me a leaverbuster.

Intentionally Feed

I'm also not going to do this as it would be obvious and have a better chance of getting me in trouble.

This is legit one of the dumbest posts I read and OP is clearly a member of the RBSC - Rito Butt Slappers Club, where everything is the fault of the players and the holy Rito is always right.

Honestly, I understand that RIOT THINKS they have have information that shows people lashing out in other ways if they're perm chat restricted but I don't think it's true for everyone. Either way though, the results will be the same. Eventually, these people would be perma banned anyway. So why add the extra step.

I like how riot is attempting to be everyones mother and tell them how to behave. It's like when your baker gives you career advice, so great.

It Is Riots Game and Riots Rules, So if you want to play a FREE game and not adhere to the TOS..Well, that is your choice.

It's like a company gives you a free game and you play by the rules or get punished. This has nothing to do with advice or your baker.

Actually, I use autohotkey to disable my enter key while league is running. It's much easier to play the game when all my laners lose when I can't get triggered. Come voice chat though. Heh... If youre playing like a moron, you deserve to have it pointed out. And when you intentionally refuse to learn from your mistakes after having them pointed out and given advice, idc if you get terminal cancer.

OH, and if you intentionally go out of your way to prevent me and the team from winning, KYS. I won a literal 1v5 earlier, and they ffed after I got two of their players to RQ. My highest achieved rank my only be G3, but skillcapped =/= bancapped.

AirKingNeo11/5/2016, 4:10:49 PM1 votes

Yes but at that point they are just intent feeding and should be punished for that.
