Rule 62
Rule 62: "Don't take yourself too seriously."
I know, I really do, but come on guys. Want to know over 90% of the players that get banned come onto these forums to complain about? They lost their minds momentarily, and it resulted in a ban. They pushed just a bit too far because they were angry, and often as the case is this happens in Normals or ARAM because, and I quote dozens of players, "Those modes do not really count, only Ranked matters." Well, sadly, for dozens of players every week these modes DO count for RIOT enforcement, and Inting, Flaming, and Abuse still end up with you banned... all because someone did something that annoyed you for a moment.
Is losing your account, or not being able to play for awhile, honestly worth the complete lack of satisfaction that you gained by slamming someone else? Let's be honest, we've all lost on minds on that ONE IDIOT... but most of us do it in spurts, and we never cross certain lines... but do you -really- feel better afterwards? I don't know about anyone else, but I am still annoyed even after telling someone off. Seems the only benefit that came from my losing of my mind was me losing my account. (Not me, hypothetical here.) Now my day has gotten infinitely worse, all because I had a melt down because someone was ruining 'my' game.
It doesn't matter where it happens. It's a game. There will be another Challenger, there will be another showcase, and there will be another season. It doesn't always seem like it in the moment, but because YOU took yourself WAY too seriously in a game, you lost your ability to play. Because you couldn't move on, and just harassed someone due to their mistakes, YOU lost out... They didn't lose anything at all, and are still doing it despite your heroic stand.
We all got nuts sometimes, we all say things we shouldn't, and we occasionally melt down. The point is to not take yourself SO seriously that you just wind up not being able to play... all because of something that wont matter soon anyway.
