saw a rioter tweet about the boards

I saw a senior champ designer make a harsh tweet (which he deleted within an hour) about the boards and how it's negative and provides no value, essentially bashing the entire board and more importantly just insulting ALL the people use it. Really ignorant of the many players that look up to Rioters and show a ton of passion for the game. With a tiny bit of resolve you can push past the negative and distasteful comments and find many useful ones by people who want to genuinely help improve the game or show their support. Blows my mind how a designer would discard a place where he can get FREE feedback about the quality of the work he is involved with.

These boards are very toxic and if we as a community can fix that then this can become a great place again.

The second a rioter steps so much as an inch onto a thread, they'd get dog piled by dozens, if not hundreds of posts asking why the balance team did one thing or another, often such posts barely concealing hostility behind each word, if they bother to hide it at all.

So...speaking the absolute truth. Cry over it, LOL.

I mean.. that's kind of true.

The boards are great for concepts and creation, meme posts, and a couple real quality posters..

The hundreds of posts that arent in those three categories are people complaining without giving feedback, being rude to eachother, and asking "why did I get banned" then posting a 12 page word document of toxic chat logs lol.

The boards has lost all credibility, and I understand riots perspective on this.

I mean he isn't wrong. Reddit is superior to boards. Some of the stuff on the boards make me lose brain cells. Especially most of the scum that think they were banned or chat restricted unfairly.

Well, they're not wrong. Have you ever been to Gameplay?

I don't know if that happened or not but Rioters are people too. And if this particular board shows us anything it's that people can get frustrated. I would recommend using this as a chance to prove that the boards can be a positive and useful place.
