Could you clarify the ban system @Riot Tantrum

Just here to ask if you could further elaborate the ban system. If I remember correctly there was a discussion about deescalation of accounts, and how once an account is fully reformed that it starts back over with the first punishment. Could you clarify if that is true?

I'm also not sure how long you've been here, but I think I remember in season 2 they were talking about a guy that had been two week banned 16 times or so.... but he worked off his bans until the last one. Do you know anything about this?

I don't think that 'clarify' is recognized by the Tantrum-Bot as part of the command set. Try a different word.

They changed how punishments worked last season. There are 4 tiers;

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day account ban
  • Permanent account ban

Typically you just go in order one at a time each time you get punished again. Showing you have reformed you can drop 1 tier at at time. Continuing this long enough you can drop from your next punishment being a permanent down to your next punishment just being a 10 game chat restriction. Extreme behavior can result in skipping tiers.

Hello, I suggest the official FAQ https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/207489286-Instant-Feedback-System-FAQ-

"BUT WHAT IF I REFORM? IS IT POSSIBLE TO GO DOWN THE ESCALATION PATH? Yes! Players who show consistent reform or show positive behavior in their games will help heal their accounts reputation."

As you can easily imagine, it is vague on purpose, in order to avoid players calculating their good behavior. About that 16x2week ban, never heard about it, in any case, Instant Feedback System is the current system, with a crescendo as stated by Deep Terror Nami.

Does anybody know how a player can show that they have reformed? I basically reduce my playing to one or two games a day, and try and be as positive as possible in those few games, but I'm still concerned as to where my account status lies. I wish they had some sort of in game message to let me know that I'm on the right track... I mean I guess I realize why they don't but it is stressful.

Its not negatively dictated by the amount of games you play. if fact having more games with positive attitude will put your status as a player in good standing. The time frame is unknown to me but being good for a few months should do it.

My point was that playing fewer games in the day results (hopefully) in me being less toxic. So that's why i have been playing less games a day. But yeah... its two months later and no luck. Idk whats going on
