^^ Please stop saying that.... literally the only time someone says that is when they are bad.... I honestly can't be the only one that's noticed that.... i feel like i'm the only one that plays to win.... regardless of it being ranked or norms... "try hard??" since when is that an insult? i ALWAYS try hard... as if that's a bad thing.... I always try to win... i just don't understand players sometimes.... just stick to fucking CO-OP VS AI games... then you can fuck around all you want... and no one is gonna say anything...

I have seen it less used for player ability and more for "why are you being Chernobyl toxic,its only normals,its not like your losing any LP or rank"

I totally agree. Along a similar line, I hate it when the game is 99% hopeless and people wont surrender. But then they go on to make the types of mistakes that the OP mentions. WTF!? If you want to try to win, THEN TRY TO WIN. Don't keep letting them take our towers with no resistance, don't keep randomly walking into their jg without visions, don't keep picking fights when they have 10 kills, 5 towers, and 200 cs on us.

They really need to make a queue for just messing around - I mean there are custom games - but I really feel like a troll queue which reads "You want to be Gnar Jungle - why not? Annivia top - whose stopping you? Zilian ADC with a taum kench support - this is your queue!" as a queue for not serious games that you just want to mess around with ... I actually think it would make norms better because then the troll queue is where you take your not serious game...

I've gotten into a lot of trouble in this game due to people wanting to be stupid in norms and not even try to win. But of course in the Riot world of backwards logic, the people throwing the game don't get punished, the person reacting to them does.

One of my many points of reform for this game is to establish a serious mode and a non serious mode so neither party bothers the other and everyone has more fun.

This is so very true and you should always try to win. However, I should not being getting flamed for being something off-meta i normals. I will still play to win, but I also want to have fun playing. The amount of times I have been flamed in for playing something different, especially Blitzcrank Garen bot, is frustrating. At least don't get mad until you have seen it in action. If I feed then I can understand your frustration, no matter the pick. Just at least give it a chance before you lose your mind.

like i said before... off-meta picks are fine... that doesn't bother me... JUST DO WELL AT IT.... i don't believe learning a new champ is a good enough reason/excuse in the context of MY post... what i'm talking about is just basic knowledge... and when a player doesn't have that... YES.. it does bother me... if for some reason i decide to face check a brush for a ward... then get killed in the process of doing so.. that's fine.. i made a mistake... but you'll notice that during that same game.. i'm gonna be very hesitant of face checking brushes next time..especially with no enemies showing on the map..... that's simply me LEARNING FROM MY MISTAKES.... but when i see a player make the same constant mistakes over and over.... or constantly dying in their lane.... WITHOUT them learning or trying to adapt... THAT'S WHEN IT BECOMES AN ISSUE.... but any critique given is simply met with a "it's just norms".... that's no acceptable... that's just an excuse you're telling yourself for being bad at this game.... and BAD you are... because players that don't learn... players that keep messing up... those are the players that will always stay at their level... there's no progression... not even just in rank... but in overall game understanding...

when i'm learning a new champ.... i go into a custom.. and lane against bots... i learn the auto attack animation and get a feel for it... i learn their abilities and which ones i can AA cancel... because when i bring that champ into a real game... i REFUSE to be a burden on my team.... it's about consideration of other players time....

The thing I love the most is how they pick their main, then proceed to go 0 10 in 7 minutes and then say "its only normal idc" , YEAH AND IF IT WAS RANKED YOU WOULD TOTALLY GO 15/0 FFS YOU ARE JUST BAD OADJGOIADHGO{UADOBADOAOUDVBADADVBO and then I get heart attack. Yup thats pretty much how it goes.

bob... i can only speak for myself... but my post has absolutely NOTHING to do with off-meta picks... and EVERYTHING to do with just a simple and plain understanding of the game.... in norms.. i don't care who you use... i've seen a AP Garen just shit on his MIDLANE opponent... and that's awesome.. if it works for you then so be it... i'm talking about when my support literally has like 75% of the total accumulated deaths on our team... and its because they simply just don't learn from their mistakes... they keep doing the same shit over and over... and once i bring it up for them to please stop and that they are causing me to lose to their shitty adc who can't even CS....they respond with... "it's just norms"... as if it's MY FAULT that i'm getting upset about their constant repeated mistakes.....(COMMENCE RAGE MODE).

I sometimes say "It's just norm" to make my team feels better and more relaxed even when I am the only one doing well and know we are probably going to lose (though rare this maybe). So no, the situation you proposed do not only happen as you have stated.

I do understand trolls tend to say "It's just norm" part of your comment and ruins everyone else gameplay experience, but you are grouping people up and ending with an insult for unintended bystanders here.

At least we have a Normal Draft in NA Alot of places removed theirs, so they only have Blind Pick at the moment.

Wouldn't be surprised if they removed it here and forced us all to play Flex But yes Norms are mean't for practice and people have bad games

I actually have the opposite problem. When I'm doing poorly in a normal match and apologize for doing so horribly, I usually get a "don't worry, it's only normals." I need to be held accountable for mistakes. I don't want toxic people but I don't want people to just be like: "It's okay that that's your 12th death. It's only normals."

I only say "it's only norms," or a phrase similar, when I'm being flamed for playing a champ I'm still learning and not doing so great. :| am I a bad guy? It's not like I'm intent. I'm trying my best. Gosh.

So what you're saying is no one should have fun messing around and if they do they're bad or toxic? What if I just wanna try Garen jungle? Its not like I have 9 other friend ready to do a custom with, neither do I wanna play against stupid bots.

For me Normal is a place to test new builds or go leblanc Adc, I understand you trying your hardest to win 'cuz that's how you have fun, but don't stomp on others in the process.
