Name Dropping

I honestly don't see why we aren't allowed to include Summoner Name's in posts.... If you encountered a troll, or someone toxic then I don't see the harm in Name dropping them pubicly on the LoL forums... Obviously if it were allowed to occur, the only way it would be acceptable would be to provide photographic proof of said incident of said individual... If anything this would actually benefit the community in a positive way.... Trolling, and/or people just straight up being douches would definitely decrease due to some of them not wanting to be "Publicly Shamed", and/or have their summoner name brought up in such a manner. Again, anytime a Summoner's name has been mentioned negatively without photographic proof.. would simply be erased... and met with some sort of punishment on the boards....

Maybe it's just me.. but I think that portion of the Summoner's Code is just stupid... and really is only protecting bad/Negative players...

Name & Shame or Witch Hunting does absolutely no good to the community, and very easily causes harm. Reports against a player are handled just fine in private.

Slander? lol Legality Issues? Yea... but No.... How is reporting someone through a ignored ticket any worse then reporting someone publicly? Also keep in mind... this is reporting... I'm not takling about Bullying, Teasing, or Malicious Intent... Reporting... for the "good" of the community...Perhaps you guys misunderstood.. or perhaps if it was allowed... that's something you would consider doing..... again.. this would me moderated... so there wouldn't be any mistakes, or false accusations... If there was a notorious AFK'er, or Someone extremely Toxic/Racist etc... I personally would see great benefit of knowing that a person on my team or opposing team is known for doing that...all because someone publicly name dropped... the way the system is now... is that you HAVE to be the victim first... there is absolutely no Preventative protocols to deal with it... I think the goal should be to premptively Avoid Negativity as much as humanly possible by utilizing your new given resources... NOT to just deal with it after the damage has been done. Another reason to name dropping would give the "victim" a slight feeling of "justice" (if you want to even call it that...) Sure.. we can report on a ticket... but you don't know if the matter has been resolved accordingly...nor do you feel any type of satisfaction from it... that last part is very important... don't try and argue with that... it literally goes against our nature... we need it to be tangible...

lol... look... I can understand maybe not everyone agrees with the idea... nor thinks it would be a positive change... and that's totally fine.. but don't give me lame reasoning and unlikely scenarios to disagree with me... or maybe I need to reword it... If it was implemented in the exact manner that I have in mind,...and moderated as such... then it would definitely be a positive addition.

Because people wont use it just for that. People will use to to call others bad and BM people with it. Some people can't use their heads so they ruin things for everyone.

It's actually a legal matter. Slander is a criminal offense.

Lol so ignorant.

For one, it doesn't accomplish anything. No one is coming here to look for trolls. If you want to report something report them at the end of the game and/or submit a support ticket.

They are also unproven accusations which can't really be taken back. While global reputations aren't really a thing in league you can still damage someone's reputation. Screenshots are seldom going to prove anything. Videos could but mods don't have time for that.

Almost everything I see get called trolling is someone playing poorly or some disagreement over strategy or choice anyway.

Also just to clarify, this isn't part of the summoners code. It is a board policy. It is to protect the falsely accused.

This time of day, for some unknown reason, you can easily spot the fake accounts either recently bought or going up for sale, as they always have the random numbers at the end, like whoever was creating them could care less.
