ok we all get trolls in games from time to time and its worse in a ranked match so is there any chance that they riot could do something to help out the people that lose games due to trolls? say you report someone and they check it and see its a legit report and punish them, how about giving the points they lost back due to the loss, shouldn't be hard to do and then you don't get punished for something someone else did wrong. just an idea, flame away
rujitra4 votesThey won't do anything. They're more concerned with banning people who rightfully get angry at the fact trolls are given slaps on the wrist, than they are with banning the actual trolls/feeders to fix the underlying problem.

To figure out if someone is trolling, you'd have to watch the game to see what happened, which could take 20-40 minutes.
To see if someone said something naughty, you just have to check the chat history which takes maybe a minute.
rujitra1 votesI wouldn't say that Riot's being lazy, but I agree that it may very well be due to the fact that Riot focuses more on things they can view "on their own time" - i.e. logs. I doubt Rioters want (as I wouldn't want) to sit through an entire 30-50 minute game just to find out if overall someone was trolling or not.
However, Rioters who manage behavior are hired and paid to do just that. In my line of work, it doesn't matter if we agree with the reason someone is obviously purchasing someone, we do our job which is to sell it. Similarly, it doesn't matter if Rioters like to sit through a 40 minute game to issue a trolling ban, they should do so because many times numbers do not and cannot tell the whole story.

Agreed. If I want to speed up a loss or something, I don't say open mid and grab 6 pairs of boots. I take stupid deaths, I'll go on dangerous split pushes, I'll watch youtube, I make bad plays and do things that my team probably isn't even noticing that I'm doing so I don't get caught.
grappler2 votesim sure they can fast forward thru the game if they wanted to just to look at certain players, and if I was them I would ignore the games where 1 player reported someone. if 4 people from a game report one person that's a pretty good indicator of which games to look into. They are already checking into the games if they are banning people, I have gotten like 6 or 7 messages saying that people I reported were punished in the last 2 weeks.

There is nothing that makes me more angry than one player holding a ranked game hostage and turning an easy win into a loss. They want to dick around and spam emotes while the team tries to fight or take objectives and then say something shitty like "I AM the team" because they have 7 kills.
Riot needs to bring back the Trolling option on reports

Telephone Booth1 votesYeah riot really needs to stop focusing on toxicity so much. It's hard to determine a troll from a bad player sometimes though and a loss forgiveness system could be easily abused. They need to figure something out though because trolls are the real problem- not toxicity.

long run 1 game isn't what is keeping you from climbing so in the grand scheme giving back lp for losses that were not caused by riot is bad as it would promote everyone reporting everyone on the chances of getting back lp for lost games Now we're opening a new can of worms that is not healthy

Someone you trash talk in champ select about a champ selection, than harrass them say crude things- than expect good results..? Nobody ever gives that weird kid on the bench a chance who likes the off set meta plays, than you call half of these people trolls where your being rude to them all game and they just wanna fail to make you mad.
