why cant we get a system where players can stop getting f'd by leavers and intentional feeders?

its an ongoing issue with this game that you can be winning a game then someone either gets mad and quits or has a connection problem and drops and cant reconnect. Why is it that when you take a loss due to this riot cant figure out a system where if they get the little leaver notification at the end of the game maybe combined with reports from the other team that the teammates don't lose the points? yes I know there are arguments against it that people will abuse the system or that 4 player premades will just gang up on the lone player and report them etc etc, but there really has to be some sort of system that can be put in place that doesn't punish the other people in the game.

honestly there should be a system where if your team has an afk for more than 2-4 minutes you dont lose lp

Because adding a system like that without it immediately being abused isn’t possible.

Also, if you're not losing points for losing with an AFK, the other team shouldn't get LP if they won vs or with an AFK.

So if there was a system that allowed softer punishments for AFKers and Leavers in your game for the rest of your team, then it would encourage 4 people ganging up on 1 person to "take one" for the team and actually make it a worse environment than it is now. People are toxic already, there's no reason to give them extra incentive to be more toxic just to save their rank.

What they need to do IMO is to increase the LP loss for the person who AFK's or leaves because it's not fair for the rest of the team, BUT it also doesn't leave the system open to abuse and won't increase harassment.

well if it effects every one the same as it is , isnt it fair ?

i mean i get it sucks to have someone dc/afk but if you still lose lp for it and so would any one else then its fair across the board.

at the end of a season over hundreds of games that 8%-10% that someone is afk/dc isnt going to make a silver player diamond or a diamond player silver. where it might effect is someone on the fringe between ranks. like silver 1 - gold 5 but still thats roughly only 10% of games.
