Concern about summoner Name (should I change it?)

Hey, I am trying to be as respectful and non-toxic as possible in game and elsewhere, so I am trying to figure out if there are any potential risks associated with my account that might lead to possible sanctions. I recently changed my name to Joseph Stalin as a joke because my friends and I have this running "Communism" joke and we mess around often with it but a few fellow summoners brought to my attention that the name might be offensive to some people. Should I make an effort to change my summoner name because it is possibly offensive and not a lot of others will get the joke or am I safe here using this name? I am just trying to eliminate risks that's all. Thank you for your help everyone!

submit a ticket to support and ask.

if it is they'll give you a free rename.

Yes comrade. You must change your name so that it may be spread equally among the people, for all great workers of the world to use whilst playing League.

Tecnically u should not get any punishment OTHER than, in case, a free name change riot gives u because of summoner.s code.

As a bland suggestion i think that u should always take your friendly jokes for yourself and your friends not showing them to strangers who obv dont know your jokes and.may get offended.

Looking at fb i see there are a buch of joseph stalim, hence that nick should be legal. Imho

You probably know an inappropriate Summoner name when you see it (or think of it). If you've got one, we'll flag it to be renamed. If you see one, report it after your game. If you're not sure whether a name crosses the line, send us a message and we'll check it out. Here's a rough list of what we consider inappropriate: -Summoner names that suggest hate speech, slurs or profanity, either implicitly or explicitly -Most names that invoke or refer to historical, ethical, or political context. -Names containing insults, grotesque imagery, and strong vulgarity. Just because you're not offended by a name, doesn't mean it's not offensive. References, puns, and wordplay are great, but if they're attempts at sneaking some offensive language, we'll flag it. If we change your name and you don't think it was offensive, let us know and we'll talk. If we do require you to change your Summoner name, make sure to choose wisely! Repeated reports will result in a penalty to either your account or your honor so make sure to pick an appropriate Summoner name.

Your name might be offensive as it has a historical/ethical/political context, but the wording is a little vague.

It's not really a decent and respectful name to be using, but I can't say 100% that Riot would enforce a name change on it. If you find it distasteful and/or want to avoid it just being forced changed after a report later, submit a Support Ticket and ask them if they can change it for you; an inappropriate name will be changed without cost.
