Requesting reports

So, I just got out of a game where I didn't do too well, I'll admit to that. The others were fine with it, coz it was just normals but the bot lane wasn't too happy (maybe because I camped top instead of them? idk). Suddenly at the end in all chat:

ADC: Report yi and lee (the top laner) Enemy: Why? ADC: called us **** (racial slur). fucking racists.

I'm 100% certain that there won't be a problem because we didn't say anything of the sort, it felt more like a spite report. But that got me thinking of other situations, because they told the OTHER team to report.

Even if there was a really toxic player on the team, if he keeps the toxicity in team chat, the enemy would have no evidence of his supposed toxic behaviour. His teammates who suffered the toxicity would have the evidence from their own observations, but the enemy team only has their word that it happened. While his team should definitely report him, does the enemy team even have the right to do so?

I come across this a lot on both my own team and the enemy team, and when they ask me to report someone, I don't feel it is right unless I have heard for myself, the supposed toxicity by that person.

Does it matter if the enemies report you though?

If the lying liar (s) reported you, it literally does not matter if the enemies reported you or not because the IFS WILL check your log based on the liar's report regardless.

If anything, by asking for the enemies to report you by lying about what you didnt say, the lying liar (s) are in fact baiting you into become inflamed and say things that WILL get you punished.

Be smart, dont take the bait. Your log will be checked ny the IFS if the liars report you and what the enemies think do not matter.

You can be punished for asking for reports, especiallyi in this case where they're using it to harass. Additionally, it only takes 1 report to trigger a review of someone's chat. So, no need to heed calls for reports, just report what bothers you in game.
