Riot would sooner let me delete my account than consider an unsuspension.

I don't understand why it's SO HARD to give someone one last chance over some trivial nonsense.

My friend was perm banned over verbal abuse. I already explained to riot multiple times in an email that my friend isn't someone who ACTUALLY purposely ruins a game for people. I've never seen M go afk or give up even if the score was 20 to 5. I'm probably one of the first people to give up or say open mid if it's an obvious landslide. She's a competitive player who's main and only goal is to WIN.

We've been logging onto this game nearly everyday for the past 3 years. We've collected a lot of skins, wards, icons, etc.

I don't think perm banning someone for verbal abuse is fair at all. The game that got M banned in, a player (with an inappropriate summoner name) attacked her for no reason at all and she retaliated.

At the end of the day, no one is crying over spilt milk. Words are just words, sticks and stones might break bones but words never hurt anyone.

I told riot if they don't unsuspend M, they can close my account down.

I got the same old response to have the user that was suspended email them. (Which they told her that her suspension is NON NEGOTIABLE. Which is pretty absurd being regular customers for 3 years and being suspended over WORDS). I really think this is one of those "mad with power" moments because they don't seem to care at all about the RP that was spent over the past years. Aren't businesses supposed to be more considerate to their actual customers? They're pretty much telling us to ** off.

All I asked for was ONE LAST CHANCE (because that's all we need) and that doesn't even seem possible. It's really like arguing with someone stubborn that has their mind SET right from the start and won't reconsider no matter what you say. It's extremely childish.

So player support asked me if I would like to close my account down (which is reversible) or if I would like to completely delete my account from the server.

They probably thought I was bluffing.

I'll be replying to that email within a few days so I guess this thread will be gone too.

Throwing a continuing/loyal customer away over nothing eh? As if the people that complain over the littlest things on this forum are any better.

Jesus christ.

you are bluffing. there's no way you're going to delete an account that has money put into it for no reason just because your whiny friend got banned for something totally reasonable and banworthy.

So you are saying, that Riot should take bribes and be influenced by money rather than justice?

Your first paragraph doesnt make sense. If she was ban for verbal abuse, going afk or giving up isnt apart of the Verbal Abuse section. Verbal abuse is just that. Attacking someone or using the chat in a negative way. Also Riot has stated a ton of times their stance on retaliation. Doesnt matter who started it you can end it and be the bigger person by muting them and report them after the game so they can get punished. If you in turn break the rules despite them starting it first doesnt give you a free pass. it doesnt work in the real world so it obviously wont work in this game. Also how many chances does someone need? If she got permaban that (usually) means she gotten 14 day ban as well as chat restrictions. if you cannot learn from those then its obvious you arent getting it so why should they give your more chances? Lastly it doesnt matter if you paid for a lot of Skins, Champions, RP. If you break the rules you get punished. everyone is treated the same way.

You don't get permanently banned for one single game. It would have been numerous games and several punishments.

"sticks and stones might break bones but words never hurt anyone"

And then Jimmy committed suicide after 3 months of verbal cyber bullying.

Not saying this is your case, but its just as ridiculous for you thinking this is punishment over nothing as it is ridiculous for us to think "why not just not be a dick in chat, problem solved you won't get banned". Society expects people to be at least neutrally decent, and if your friend acts like a dick to other people too much, she get voted off the island. People could care less that there is one less person. Sorry dude, but bans stay.

So...basically a girl you like got banned and you're white knighting to get in her favor?

k.

Now I know you're trying to get point from her by being her white knight but I find it extremely ironic you think it's "childish"

This whole post is the definition of childish, you are the one with a lot of growing up to do if you think this is how shit works.

Thinking about all the people that had to put up with the toxicity and how that could've possibly detracted from them spending or even playing the game, I'd say this is still an objectively smart decision by Riot. Not typing anything at all instead of flaming your teammates isn't a hard concept to understand, and "words are just words" is a rhetoric used by people like you two as an excuse to condone toxic behavior like verbal abuse.

Riot said no. The vast majority of the community said no. I don't know what you expected to happen if she kept doing it anyway.

PS: Attacking and ruining the experience for other consumers isn't exactly customer loyalty.

He had many opportunities to reform but chose to continue on the toxic path.

I have no sympathy. I was perma-banned as well back in early S2 and learned that toxicity does not pay, your friend would do well to learn that lesson.

It's just completely disrespectful of Riot to not even make a consideration to work 1 on 1 with the customer to come to a proper resolution. They're being extremely childish about this, and if that's the way it's gonna be then I'll leave this game with pride and my head held high.

If you thought this behaviour was acceptable then your account isn't as safe as you might think.
