i reported like 10 people in the last 5 matches for being a total jerk / flaming / int feeding seriously the number of toxic people has increased during the pre season for some reason ?

I don't know... I don't remember this player being prompted into talking about their neighbors or killing them or their neighbors' races or anything).
It was an ARAM match.

Praetor Notorias1 votesI quit reporting people because it doesn't do anything. I've adopted the pattern of if you can't beat them, join them. So you'll find out that some of the toxic people if you respond with a joke or an insult back at them they will actually participate in the game better. Sometimes it's like slapping an anthill and those people are either having a really shitty day or a really shitty life so there's not much you can do about that. But some people are just blowing off steam and when you let them do that they aren't so much the asshole they seemed at first. A foul mouthed prick, probably. But in the end most of them want to win as much as you do, just their winning isn't measured by the same metric as yours.
