AFK question

While I know afkers are all around frowned upon, I also know from having life happen, sometimes things happen that are unexpected. How hard would it be to allow an afk to be taken over by a RIOT bot. That way a ranked game would not go lopsided quite so quickly and players could actually allow the bot to work a lane and semi help as they continue a game.

Yes I know this could be abused, in some cases, however, just do not allow the afker to receive lp or mmr or anything from the match and have it limited somewhat like rerolls on ARAM. you can earn up to x number of allowed afks due to life circumstances.

I ask this because yesterday I was forced away from a ranked match for extenuating circumstances, and I feel bad for those who got left because of something that could not be avoided.

The bot would have to semi match the play level of the the lower elo players in the group so as to not have people abuse to boost, but would allow for a lane to not go unmanned. Would have to also have the bot able to follow at least 3 simple strats, hold lane, support champ, or map warding while avoiding fights unless team was present. This just keeps objectives from being rolled but doesnt allow the bot to outclass or roll the other team as they never do more than support at a team fight.

Anyhow just an idea because I know I feel bad when I had to leave a game yesterday.
I know they have other games that allow bots to take over champs to keep ranked play going rather than freelo.

so basically what your saying is lock your doors.. turn off your phone... and tell someone else to watch your kids if you have children... because this game is HARDCORE .... seriously? What world do you live in where other things cannot happen and LOL IS LIFE.
Unless you can know w/o doubt that your phone calls arent from your mom who has alzheimers... or your 5 year old who is in another state due to custody and an ex... Even in ranked, much like the Olympics, shit happens. Life does not let you just put it on hold because LoL.

Though I think I see why some people think they are elite now. They have 0 life outside of LoL and apparently phone calls, or people stopping by, or having to deal with real work could be a hassle.

Emergencies are rare. If you have a lot of "life happens" moments then stay out. They need to start banning AFK's and we will watch AFK's of any type decline. LPQ is a slap on the wrist and an annoyance more than true discipline. RIOT uses very little common sense in everything they do from a discipline standpoint.

Why are you playing League instead of watching your 5 year old or if you're expecting an important call I think that's the better question. I've met plenty of people myself included that have great work/life/video game balance without hardly ever needing to afk. If you've got medical issues that are stopping you from playing then it is far better to get into a non-competitive gave where you won't ruin other people's times. I always make sure I play later at night when people are asleep or away so it has never been an issue for me. Learn to respect others if you want to be respected.

As far as the bot issue it simply would not work. Bots would be a bigger hindrance than an AFK since they would take farm and give gold from dying. The average player in rank can easily outplay a bot and win, heck most can actually outplay 5 bots at once. There's a bigger chance the team will win 4 vs 5 than with a bot.
