You can't type nothing in chat because everything is racist, toxic, unsportsmanlike and shit but what realy hurts the game are fucking trolls that ACTUALLY ruin your game. Is this a rated E for everyone game that you cant say somebody sucks or is trash because they get offended the littlwe cucks, but people actually trolling dont get suspended because they never type in chat therefore they are inmmune
They care about both. No one wants a troll, but people are equally sick and tired of temper tantrums in game. Riot doesn't decide everything that is punishable, some of it they leave up to the community. If enough of the community is reporting it Riot takes a stand, and little shits not knowing when to keep their mouths shut and just play got reported enough.
Riot's not protecting the feelings of the easily offended, they are saying the community has had enough and you're welcome to play a different game if you don't feel like growing up. This game has moved on, so either move on with it and drop the poor behavior or find something else to play.

The game is rated T for teen due to things inside the game, involving the game itself. Online interactions are not rated.
That being said it is easier to check chat and punish, which is why there are more chat penalties before perma (pending escalation because 0 tolerance). Proving someone is trolling or inting, isn't always easy.
It's pretty easy to chat without being punished. If you find that hard you need to have a look at how you communicate - would you talk to people you don't know in real life like that?
Trolling isn't immune, but it obviously takes a lot longer to punish as it needs to be done manually.
So you can say whatever you please and create a negative influence in the game while Riot focuses on Trolling? Putting aside the Terms of Use and disregarding other players in general? No. Also, what you may consider trolling may not be actually trolling. Just because a player isn't playing by your standards or doing what you want doesn't mean they're trolling. Riot focuses on both. It's just chat is easier to catch. Besides, words should always chance consequences. If you say something to offend a player, there should always be consequences.
Both ruin the game. Just because you want to have the freedom of not facing the consequences of your words doesn't mean Riot should just let you.
