Why was Dotot banned? All I saw was him playing off meta shit, and Riot banned him for not dick riding the metagame? Does Riot ban people for not playing by the metagame?

nope only way he wou ldve gotten banned is purposefully assisting the enemy team (fine line between ahri support and troll picking to cause a loss) or if he was being boosted, account sharing, or toxic behavior.
