Ok I'm onboard with the whole "Punishment for banning my pick intention" thing

Honestly, I've been playing Lux as support since the day she was released. I build according to what the situation needs, but I 100% build sightstone every game, I don't steal my ADC's CS, I do my best to peel and I don't hold on to my combo to try and KS. If I land a Q, I go for it. Only with the release of this skin has there been an epidemic of awful people trying to play Lux support, and completely destroying her name.

I never used to have any complaints when I picked her, but now it's not only QQ, it's people on MY team banning my champion that I've selected as the champ I intend to play. Yes, there's other champions I could play, but honestly when you're in a good mood and you feel like playing something you enjoy, only to be trolled because someone doesn't like what you want to pick (and can't be bothered to even ask how you play / ask to switch) then I really stop caring about the game at that point.

Luckily, someone dodged, so I didn't have to suffer through the game with this troll player, but this isn't the first time it has happened. I'm thankful for the skin, but I would have rather never had it because now Lux support as a thing has been tarnished by a lot of bad players, and I can hardly play the one thing I really enjoy anymore.

Please Riot I beg of you. I can deal with someone on the enemy team banning banning my pick intention. I can deal with my own team banning what I wanted to pick if I haven't selected it as an intention yet. I can't deal with someone on my team banning what I wanted to pick and trolling me, only for them to get off scot free because they didn't like my pick.

Sometimes it's banned so the enemy can't take it before your pick.

What if you're last pick and you're hovering a heavily contested pick. What, are we supposed to leave it un banned and let the enemy pick it before you get a chance too?

Elementalist Lux is pretty tilting to people who don't have girlfriends. Consider playing a less young and flirty champ.

Also if you think you are better than your ADC, and the enemy is going to scale into lategame better than you, you should take the cs and kills and then hard carry the game.

There are times when Lux supp needs to step up and start farming in low ELO. It will piss the adc off but it's allowed and smart if they are bad, just mute.

the only troll is yourself if you can't play 16 champions so what if it get ban take something similar and get same result but the way you act and react to the subject show that you're mainly a 1 trick failure.

Yeah it's mildly annoying when people ban a champion you want to play, but for people to get punished for it is kinda silly, even if it is intentional.

Also "Awful people playing Lux support and destroying her name" Are you the be all end all of Lux support or something?

I think there are two things working against you here.

First, as someone who is also a support main, you have to remember that most ADCs have an inflated sense of their importance. They want you to play the champ they think is best for them, with runes, masteries and summoner spells to match. I recently had to switch to a more meta spell choice just to shut up the complainers.

So, yeah, you're going to get people who ban out your preferred pick. This is something that has been happening since the dawn of ranked and it's bad form, but it's not against the rules and therefore not punishable. These days, I just keep my mouth shut and rob people of the opportunity to be an ass.

Second, the Elementalist skin has caused people to remember Lux exists. By Christmas, she'll be gathering dust again, as the skin didn't magically make her better. In the meantime, the perception - fair or not - is that a lot of scrubs are jumping on the bandwagon. You even mention this in your post, so you shouldn't be shocked when the community chooses to "noob block" her.
