How long does someone have to afk for me to be able to report them?

Long story short, we had a Velkoz mid who was already giving me a head ache by now, 41 minutes into the game I devour him as TahmKench to chase down a 1/3rd hp Malphite with the speed buff, what happens next? I spit him out, he stands there, half health Garen comes and kills us both along with the Malphite who just punches vel and then me. Soon after our whole team is yelling at vel who replied about 20 seconds later saying he was afk, the enemy team starts baron, gets it while my team desperately tried to 3v5 which hilariously failed...The enemy team says gg even though the game kinda ended arubtly for no reason, vel had enough damage to nearly kill them both by himself but he was just afk.....

Also can I report the enemy team for saying GG to this? Maybe im just salty because I wasted 40 minutes + queue time and champ select but you cant say gg to a game that ended for no reason, ive never heard of an ingame mechanic programmed by riot known as "Afk" and I`m sure its not even a part of the game.

Also his reason to afk was to go get food... I shouldnt have left that out...

Also he was not afk when I devoured him, he was in the process of chasing malphite after a group fight and I guess he thought I could 1v2.

LeaverBuster is actually pretty good at picking up afk's. It also completely automated, so most of the time you don't even need to report for that.

As far as the guy who said gg... It's considered minor unsportsmanlike behavior. You can report it, but if that's the only thing he did, it's extremely unlikely to result in a punishment, although it may slow/prevent honor gain.

I don't know the exact timing, but if you go to the practice tool and stay immobile for a few minutes you'll get the leaverbuster notification ( without consequences obviously ), so go try it out and you'll know how many time they need to afk for the system to pick it up.

I was joking about the gg part, i see that so often its not even funny and its toxic, I even say bg when I win games that I know ended so poorly, we fought so hard to turtle late game with our kog`maw but that just wasnt enough for our mid laner.

1 second. A report will affect them the second they go afk. Also, it's detected automatically.
