Held Hostage in Game
SO I just played this ARAM which lasted 45 minutes. It SHOULD have ended in maaaybe 25, except:
- The enemy team refused to win
- My team refused to surrender
We got Stomped. The gold graph doesn't show exactly how far behind we were (cause hey, it's ARAM), but they had taken our inhib by 17 minutes, and we got theirs 40 minutes in. I am not a good player any more, and the rest of my team was also outclassed; they certainly couldn't carry me.
Every fight was the same: they'd ace us, then whoever was still alive would run past the open nexus and suicide en-masse. Adding up their deaths, you can see the total number of executes: 14. The only reason the game even ended is that the death timers let us respawn and take a single objective before the enemy team revived and slaughtered us again. Then they'd all die in our fountain and the cycle repeats. This could have gone on for hours.
I don't know why two of my teammates wanted to keep playing, but winning in the end didn't make it feel any better or worthwhile. Officially, I can't leave, or stop contesting, under penalty of the leaver or report systems. I was trapped in this miserable game where the enemy didn't want to win, only kill us over and over and over and over again.
Is there any official rule against this? Refusing to win? Torturing your opponents? Could there be one? It was a horrible experience and i'd like to avoid it ever happening again.
