Perma Ban is a cruel punishment

surprisingly i found another match in my chat logs where i have been joking around with my friend and the whole team was having fun..i was saying that i suck and telling my friend that he suck...i got 3 honors on that match...i got reported by enemy team because i am playing master Yi...so how is it fair to punish me for a match where i was joking with my friend and got 3 honors from my team...how am i extremely inflammatory and offensive...here is the chat log..judge it by yourselves...is what i said really offensive (when they called me useless and retarded) and is it worth a permanent ban...i am extremely depressed because of this..this is just a really cruel punishment..why riot does this..if it happened in rankeds which is most of the cases just ban me from playing rankeds or take my chat away for the rest of the season..but why do u take the whole game away from me...its the only place where i meet with my friends and i have put so much effort and time into it and i am not a racist or someone who curses others or wish them cancer or death like many others who flame....i had no idea that joking with a friend would be counted as well...how is it fair to punish me that hard for something i didnt know about and without any warnings...like it has been 3 months since my 14 days suspension and i was very close to getting level 1 honor...if i saw a warning message for example after 2nd match..maybe i would have avoided typing anything and just go with the /mute all since start but i tried to have hope that my team would stop blaming me and try to play and replied to ''retarded useless jng'' by ''shut up and play''..how am i the toxic one here..this system is really weird that it takes a chat between me and my friend and use it to ban me :( ....this just made me feel really bad of how injustice it is...permanent suspension is just too cruel to compare those few words to thousands of other hours....

Out of curiosity, have you recently had a 14-day ban? If you were on that final warning, this sort of comment would likely push you over:

The system doesn't take kindly to blaming your teammates or shaming them for a poor performance. We all have bad games, and we don't need those bad games rubbed in our faces like this.

If someone is being toxic Riot gives you all the means to ignore them... the MUTE button.. just click that.. if you retaliate and start to argue or flame them back.. your no different than them even tho your doing it in self Defense its still Punishable... you can just report him as well after you muted him. tho to get a perma ban.. you had to have gone through MANY punnishments.. ive played since season 3 and ive NEVER been banned or anything

I'm usually not rooting for those who got banned, because in most cases, they complain about being banned after saying things like "stfu and kys, I hope your autistic mom dies from cancer <etc etc etc>" and then they complain "I was having a bad day" or "I didn't flame for <insert timespan here>" etc.

But your case is actually one where I am puzzled. From looking at it, and assuming you actually provided the full honest chat log, I'd say, the "worst" things in this log are "shut up and play", "if ur bad its not my fault" and "u just cant play". And to be honest, that is far less than anything I'd consider punishable or even reportable. I wish "shut up" were the worst things my team mates said to me in many games, because that would hurt a lot less than what many actually say to me.

Well, it's not my decision to make, but maybe the support can help you about it. I hope you're able to resolve it, because I sincerely feel this punishment did not quite hit the right one. If anything, a 5 game restriction (and thus falling back to honor level 0 again) would be severe enough.

Banning is a bit silly, when people have paid for things in the game. I mean, its fine- but its never actually required.

It would be far better to just move players into low elo faster, penalize with lp loss. This gives a chance for correction, the ability to still play the game, and all the trolls are in the bottom of elo anyways. Trolls won't have any fun trolling trolls.

The real problem is that they can just buy/start another account, and troll some more.

Until accounts are tied to phone numbers or something, this problem will always exist and there will never be a resolution- except to punish with massive lp losses for toxic play/behavior, whatever.

Personally I don't give a shit about toxic behavior, its mutable- its literally not a problem. One click, solved. Don't even react to it. Its insane to spend resources reacting to it, regardless of what anyone has to say about it. If something is solved with a click- don't dedicate anything else to it, its done. Focus on some more difficult issues.

The REAL problem is toxic play. This no one can control or combat- this is how trolls actually hold us captive in games. If you troll/feed, whatever, receive multiple reports for inting- you should just lose 100lp. Get the trolls where the rest of the trolls are in bronze 5. Save the rest of us and help the ladder achieve health quicker. None of us should have to deal with a fucktard threating to int if they don't get x, y or z. Its bullshit. We should not be held captive by the words of an idiot. Its insane for us to allow it.

If players know thats a possibility, just the threat of losing- or only being able to troll trolls... will force at least average play in games.

Thats why countries used to cut off hands for stealing. It wasn't because they liked cutting off hands. It was because the threat of such an extreme penalty for such a minor thing forces it to be taken very seriously. On a grand scale, theft is an extreme issue. Fear is a power deterrent. Activate brains.

I think this kid should be allowed to have his account Chat restricted, and be allowed to play again. Unless he hasn't bought any skins, then I don't really care what happens, because if you don't pay any money you really shouldn't have any stake in being allowed to play the game if you break the rules.
