Adding an option to report players for being bad. PLEASE HEAR ME OUT

I just wanted to see if it was possible to add an option to report someone for being bad. You can report them and type whatever u want (calling them boosted monkeys, trashcans, useless faks, etc), but have it not really do anything. Like im sure they can add that in the game where it will just delete the report and have the option there for players who are upset that they lost or had a bad teammate to vent out their anger and frustration.

If you lose a game because one person on ur team did really bad and never did anything to improve, then you would be very tilted. I think that adding this would help reduce some toxicity. A dead report option that will help u cool down and then forget about the player.

What do you guys think, let me know.

This sort of used to exist. I personally don't like it because, while it may not do anything, it gets players into the mindset that it's not okay to be bad at the game or have a bad game, and I think that's ultimately pretty destructive to the League experience. Sometimes you play badly, and that's okay.

There should just be the "report unskilled" option that used to exist. If someone is reported unskilled enough their account is locked from ranked for a period of time or they are put into queue with other "unskilled" players.

Also first timing champions in ranked should be a reportable offense.

No.

This would INCREASE toxicity, because people would troll even more, knowing that if they get reported it most likely will just get thrown out because hey, it looks like they're doing bad so people report them for being unskilled rather than griefing. And what is the most common reaction to trolls? To spew toxic chat/actions at them.

Problem with it is, were it to actually do anything, you'd need a significant portion of the population to be ignorant of its actual function. And while it may be a good vent for those frustrated with a teammate's poor play, it may create toxicity among those who are having a bad game. If they think they can actually be punished for playing poorly, they may leave when they get behind in lane rather than risk a ban for a sub-par performance.

If riot even attempted a reasonably functional match making system, players skill differences and understanding of the game wouldn't be even close to an issue. players who even showed minor improvements would be rewarded and never match with players who can't seem to learn or worse don't want to learn again. Unfortunately, between a multitude of issue including boosting, intentionally ruining games, account sharing, and flaws in the match making itself, you are bound to have a negative match making experience at ANY point on the ladder. However, at a much less frequent interval when you reach diamond or higher.

What is dead may never die...is something no one ever said about old threads. Since this thread's been White Walker'd, I'm locking it (due to it's old age).
