Botted Accounts

There will always be botters in F2P games (see: OSRS, RS3, Heroes of the Storm, etc.) and the best way to combat them is to ban them in waves, not as they're created.

If a company bans a bot the second it's created, the developers (of the bots) can figure out what got them caught and repeat the process. If they get banned again, they change one more thing and recreate the bot, so on and so forth.

They'd essentially be brute forcing their way to a solution, whereas banning in waves forces them to do more work and as a result it requires them to spend more time developing bots which will probably just get banned again at a later date.

Ban them in waves. Unfortunately botters will always create new ones.

If I'm not mistaken, Riot was testing some matchmaking changed on one of the EU servers to try and force bot accounts into games with only bot accounts until they do get banned, so as to reduce the strain on actual players.
