Ever since I got perma banned I have been really into finding reason of understanding this topic. So of course League of Legends is rated "T" Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language. So with that said people should come into this game knowing that First: this game is online with millions of people playing, and Second: Contains mature content. If I come into league of legends ready to play a game and win, and I get an adc orianna, and the mid i'm against is scripting, And let's say this Orianna feeds then goes afk, +1 Tilt, And I can't kill mid lane because he is scripting, +1 tilt. So When I say "Fuck you Orianna for losing us this game", Or even better Viktor: "You're trash" Me: "Fuck you you're scripting", I get permanently banned. The fact that this game is for a developed audience makes me assume I can use language suited for such. Now I'm not rambling on my acc being banned, because as a mature player I can better myself for myself. I'm just saying, and respect to Riot, that banning people for negativity or even using fowl language is just ludicrous. The fact that everyone would be absolute perfect specimens in a game full of cheaters trolls and leavers is just so far fetched. The best way to deal with Toxic players isn't to ban the toxic player, but instead ban the reason the person is toxic, aka. feeders. leavers. and trolls. Again I'm not asking for my account back, I'm just trying to give idea on how to make the community better. I could understand being banned in club penguin for using offensive language because that game is ment for children. League of Legends in NOT ment for children.

edit: verbal threats, such as "kill yourself", I can totally understand, that isn't what i'm talking about here

The thing is, you're just looking for ways to justify your actions. Mature content does not mean they allow verbal abuse or general dickery. Remember that on most online games nowadays it states that "Online interactions not rated by ESRB" meaning the T rating is only for the actual in-game content and has nothing to do with the community. You shouldn't have to expect the other 4 people on your team to be dicks, because why would you play a game where everyone is a general asshat?

Remember that two wrongs don't make a right. If someone pisses you off, report them and move on. If you sling insults and curse words you're pretty much just putting a target on yourself saying "ban me ban me." You might say it's not fair but the fact is there is no way that Riot can effectively police every single game out of millions of players. You have to think of it realistically rather than idealistically. They're not going to think to themselves "Oh well that guy was feeding so I'll give this rager a fair chance and not ban him." All they see is a feeder and a rager and they will ban both.

Swearing by itself hasnt ever gotten anyone punished that i know of. Swearing AT team mates has. Big difference.

No, no you don't, and no, no you didn't get banned for just saying fuck you to the feeding afk Orianna, or the scripting mid, you got banned from countless games of treating your allies like shit when they did bad or made a mistake, even when they weren't trolling, simply having bad games.

You can't ban feeders because everyone feeds, literally everyone, I have had games where I fed hardcore, so have you. Intentional feeders yes, 4 to 5 games of going 0/XX/0 needs to be immediate permaban.

Leavers yes, but leaving once should be an instant ban, it happens, irl happens sometimes, chronical leavers, yes, should and do get permabanned.

Trolls, the term troll is FAR too broad, because what you might consider trolling and another person might consider trolling are too wildly different things. A month ago, had someone taken Graves into the jungle, you likely would have cried troll, fast forward to today.

Yes, the causes need to be combated, but toxic players need to calm down and realize that not everyone is trolling just because they have a bad game.
