Ban Appeal

Basically it's been a few months since I was banned permanently, and I do understand that back then, yes, I deserved it. But now that I have had time to create a new account and play other games without any toxicity I feel the game as a whole is a lot better. No rage means better play and more wins. Now I know that there used to be a system to reinstate an account, and I personally thought it was a good idea only to find out they no longer use it. If being able to prove I am no longer toxic doesn't exist then how are any of us supposed to better ourselves. You take away most people's lively hood because this game is an escape for many, and toxicity stems from real life problems. When you take away someones life outside of their own you take away everything they care about, that's why giving someone room for change, I think, is a good idea. No one is ALWAYS toxic and those who are toxic just for the hell of it DO deserve a ban, as well as hackers and cheaters. Saying a couple of mean words, or negative team influence is indeed bad by nature, but it's nothing someone will remember after two games. Let me put it in perspective, I got permanently after calling one of my teammates bad and using derogatory language. That guy most likely doesn't remember that game, or even who I am. So if i'm that forgettable why must I never be allowed to play this game on this account again? I can understand if you want to permanently mute me, because of the nature of my ban, but taking away everything I have worked for on this game all the money I used to support Riot because of how great of a company I thought they where is just not fair. I didn't JUST get reported I have had teammates say I was the best player they have played with and I had so many honors, Where are the reports and logs of that? I am not a terrible person, and I did not do anything applicable enough to deserve my punishment. They system you have in place of "Opps you messed up, this is our account now" isn't very effective, Toxicity still exists, and will never go away along with hackers and cheaters. Ban the real problem not the rest of us who have had bad days.

The system isn't "oops you messed up" once. To get a permanent ban, you basically have to have been a consistent problem for a long time, even after several warnings (the chat restrictions and 14-day ban). The 14-day ban notice even tells you that the next punishment will be a permanent ban.

It sounds like you've made great strides since the ban, which is awesome. Lots of respect for that, seriously. It's just unfortunate that it took losing an account to realize you needed to make a change. That lost account is a costly lesson learned.

As Zielmann said, permanent bans for toxic chat are only given after you have gone through multiple other punishments. These punishments serve as warnings that your behavior is unacceptable. You say most people use the permanent ban as the moment they realize they need to change. Well, when you receive your 14-day ban, Riot specifically tells you that if you do not change your behavior now, your next punishment will be a permanent ban. So, why not use the threat of the permanent ban as the moment to change your behavior, not when you actually get the permanent ban because by then it's too late to save your account.

I didn't JUST get reported I have had teammates say I was the best player they have played with and I had so many honors, Where are the reports and logs of that? I am not a terrible person, and I did not do anything applicable enough to deserve my punishment.

Having a lot of good days does not cancel out the poor behavior you exhibited. Just like in real life, all the time that you have shown good behavior isn't going to protect you when you break the law a few times. Also, you say you didn't do anything to deserve it, but Riot disagrees. You exhibited poor behavior frequently enough to go through multiple punishments even before the permanent ban, and you failed to change it after Riot said that your next punishment would be a permanent ban. In fact, you even admit that you did deserve the punishment in your very first sentence, so you're just contradicting yourself here.

As for the system Riot had before, the reason why they no longer do that is because it had an extremely large failure rate. I'm talking like around 95% failure rate, maybe even higher. What makes it even worse is Riot didn't allow just anyone to go through the challenge, they hand picked players that they have talked with and believed could succeed, and even then, very, very few players actually did succeed. They figured it wasn't worth the trouble because all it was doing was encouraging toxic players to start a new account and play in low level games with the hope of possibly getting their old account back, but since these people weren't changing their behavior, the toxicity just moved to the low level games.

I sympathize with you and hope for your account to be unbanned, but Riot probably won't unban it.
