Has this ever happened to you?

You're playing a game of League as everyone's favorite champion, but you start to lose your lane against the enemy top laner. Upon asking for help, your team says your loss was inevitable and that they refuse to help you due to the champion you chose to play. Eventually the enemy laner is completely overpowering for your team; in part due to your loss against him, and also since your team thought they could take him out on their own.

At the end of the game you think, "Dang, that guy was OP. I should totally play him, I'll win for sure!"

So you go into a game with that champion, but for some reason at full build you seem to be doing about as much damage as the enemy did to you at level 6. Finally you realize that it wasn't just that he was that good, but your team was really that bad. So you laugh as you are forced to realize the enemy was just that much more masterful.

But seriously, why do people essentially refuse to play/win the game just because of the champ you picked? I'll never understand it. If you REALLY have something against that champion to the point where you think you'll lose from their mere presence, why does it make sense to express that fear by ensuring it becomes reality? I swear like 90% of the toxicity I witness is so contradictory. Why are you mad? Cause you wanted to win the game. Solution: Purposely lose game. YEAH. That'll do it. I'll show 'em all.

*Note: The only rants intended in this post are 1) People make no sense in their frustration since it seems to be rooted in a desire to win, but they only ever act in a counterproductive manner, and 2) The enemy always seems to do more damage than you, even as the same champion.

Because if it isn't meta it isn't worth it to most people, and if you dare to break the meta than you might as well be wood 5 even if you're in Challenger.

And yet, now support Malz is meta... but don't worry! First kill you steal and you'll see people freaking out over it!
