🐟 How to Block in the new client without first adding them as a "friend"
Edit: With patch 7.10 they've added blocking from the Block List (in your Settings) and your Recently Played list (in the Add a Friend window).
I've just been educated by our resident Riot tech support, Prynce, on a workaround for blocking players in the new client without needing them on your friends list (until they update it at least). It's quite simple, and he's created an infograph with directions;
For text instructions I'll just repeat it here;
- Go into your Profile page from the tabs on the top left of the client
- On the top right side of your profile, enter the Summoner name
- You can go to your own if they were in your recent matches
- Go into their Match History tab and select any match
- Find the player you wish to block, right click, select Block
There you go, the player is blocked! To view your Block list, just hit the Settings button on the top right of your client, the list is under the Client section.
Keep in mind that Blocking does not prevent a player from being matched with you. It only prevents them from sending you messages or requests, and automatically mutes them in lobby and in-game chat.
