I recently made a smurf to test my theory on promo games and it seems to be 100% correct.

I made a smurf because I hat a really bad promo set on my main and I thought "man it always seems to happen in the promos." Of course it is probably just that you remember them the most because of how important they are, but I wanted to give it a go and see. I had some interesting placement games which allowed me to test better as I was dropped in S4. I quickly netted myself a 65% win rate and climbed relatively easily. That is, until I hit my promos. Every set of promos I have had on this account have been the worst gaming experiences I have ever had. I am talking: being called the N word for not ganking being told in vivid detail how to have sex with my mother for not ganking being told to kill myself having my top laner die and my mid says okay if ur trolling i will too (0/29 combined score with 36 total deaths on our team) "no I am jungle" "I am trolling bc I lost my last game" - bans my hover having my adc follow me through my jungle and take cs bc "tempo is shit rune idiot" All of this without me using the chat function once. I am sad to say that I am finding a pattern among these promo games, and it is not a good pattern. The things being said and done are directly laid out as "permanently bannable behavior" and I doubt they just decided to take it up right then and there. Also a nice thing I have noticed. If I report these players via in-game report, nothing happens to them. If I report them on the support site, their accounts suddenly stop spamming that 42% win rate soloq climb. Just hings I have noticed throughout the last week of enjoying my smurf. Let me know if you have had similar experiences.

Nope, never had that problem. I mean that sucks and I believe is entirely possible, but theres a few people that genuinely believe match-making "rigs it" so you don't climb during promos. I'm not even saying sometimes yeah, you do get fucked on promos, because it does happen. It happens to streamers too. But for the most part I feel like I have the same level of control on my climb as I do in my promos. When I lose, I lose, when I win, I win. That sounds kinda stupid but it's really just that simple. There was one promo game that I was unfortunate enough to have an "unranked" player in a silver --> gold promo, that was kinda feelsbad, but aside from that- enemy teams consistently also had "baddies".

So I don't know if that has anything to do with your point or the premise of this, but observation bias is not good. People see what they want to see- to explain something that isn't themselves- and while that might not be your particular case because I dont know you- but it' seems the majority of Bronze - Gold use as an excuse consistently. If the matchmaking is truly "rigged", then why did the other 1 million players climb above- and not the others?

Im guess you are talking about promo from silver to gold right? In that case i guess the reason is simple. You are getting a lot of people from G5. Every rank 5 is complete trash. Dump place for complete garbage. True toxic wastes of LOL. In a way it might make promo harder or easier depending on your luck but it most likely will be quite toxic.

I've had the same issue but in one of my recent series. Top lane Ren dying for the first time in game types GG we lost in chat and proceeds to be toxic the rest of the game. ONLY in series I've gotten someone as toxic as this. The difference between both my accounts is astonishing that i can have a shitty experience on one and have a decent time on the other which doesn't make sense but what do i know.
