Rude Smurfs in the Lower Levels Need to be Handled.
Whenever I play on my smurf account (its under level 30) there is at least one of those guys that likes to be a huge dick to knew players in the game.
I remember when I first started playing it was the same way.
- They are hostile and rude to new players for making mistakes (as if they would know)
- They act superior because they have played the game longer.
- The talk in the League of Legends language, expecting them to know what they mean. And refuse to explain anything.
For this reason I honestly don't want to recommend the game to anyone, because I wouldn't want them to deal with this. For me when I first started playing I ignored it as much as I could but still it took a enjoyment out pf the game for me, i almost quit playing because of how frequent it was. Luckily I stuck through it and got to silver where the toxic behavior seems to have disappeared for the most part.
My point in all this is to solve the problem without holding anyone's hand.
I had this idea
When creating an account make an option to allow someone to say if they are a smurf or not. Possibly linking their main account.
If they are then they should be put in a separate queue away from new players. Adding some incentive like bonus exp or something to get them to admit it. While at the same time making anyone in the new player queue who is caught being a smurf instantly banned.
The only problem I see in this is having longer queue times for new players, but to be honest I would have waited an extra 5 minutes to not get destroyed or harassed by somebody who has been playing the game longer.
Even though there are a lot of rude players, there are also plenty of really friendly players. And I wouldn't want to overlook that, but as it is the bad experiences out weigh the good ones, to me at least.
