Something needs to be done about player behavior.

Simply put, the community for League of Legends is getting worse. So obviously what has been done in changes to banning and chat restrictions in the last few years hasn't really helped.

The report system is unreliable to be blunt. I report players almost daily with easily ban worthy behaviors(Based on Riot's own terms of use and rules) and nothing happens. And yet somebody can say something mean in one game for the first time ever and get a chat restriction. How can it be justified that a system this flawed is allowed to continue? No other game has a community this toxic, and yet they all have systems to monitor player behavior.

The counter-argument would be that there are so many players to monitor, and errors can happen. My answers to that is this: Riot uses an automated system that does the majority of the work for them. This system is what gets you banned or chat restricted. You hear of stories of predominate players like Tyler1 getting perma-banned, which was justified. But then you see all these other popular players all over the internet that are even more toxic than Tyler1 ever was, that continue to play the game. What this tells me is that Riot is just picking and choosing who they want to ban. I don't care if Riot has the right to do this, its wrong. Its a slap in the face to a community that loves their game and gives much of their time to it. If you are adamant that a player should be chat restricted for even one game that they may slip up on and say something rude, then you have to use the EXACT same punishment for ALL players that mess up this way. To do otherwise is insulting, and can be viewed as a form of targeted harassment.

There is a logical solution to his issue: Crack down on everyone the way you do to a select few, or let up on everyone. this wishy washy system of "maybe banning somebody maybe not" is only fueling the toxic players. In their minds, it doesn't matter what they do in game, because their isn't a system in place to truly protect players. When I log into League of Legends and play a game I'm inviting hate, harassment, trolls, and other toxicity into my life.

And before anybody says to just mute everyone in the game. Let me remind you that after the game chat is never muted, and smart pings are not always good enough to communicate strategies to teammates. League of Legends is a multiplayer game. I should be able to keep everybody not muted and still have a good time communicating with non-toxic players; Like I can with almost every other game out there.

TL, DR I assume salty AF

Take a walk and come back when your less salty. There is nothing else to say that hasn't already been said some where else. Life's unfair, deal with it, grow up and move on. Stop playing, take a break, nothings going to change in a day of posting this.

Honestly with how long I've been playing it doesn't seem like toxicity is getting worse. Especially with the tier punishment we have now a lot more people are cautious of what they say. With that said just because you report people doesnt mean they should be automatically dealt with. They should have their cases reviewed and for all you know they could have gotten punishment. Its all dealt in tiers and you wont get a notification of a chat ban, let alone know if they got punished with that since they can still play. You underestimate how many players there are and how much reports they need to deal with daily. Even with an automated system there are going to be screw up. Name any system that is 100%, there isnt one because thats impossible. If you truly believe the person wasnt punished accordingly by all means contact support with evidence. They arent going to tell you if they been punished as its none of your business.
