Could we get some kind of warning regarding toxicity?

As someone who sometimes types without really thinking and sometimes doesn't realise what they're saying, I think it would be fantastic if we could get some kind of a notifcation if our Honor progress has been slowed due to mild toxicity. It'd be helpful to help such players realise what exactly they are doing/saying and put a cap on it. I would not consider myself incredibly toxic - but sometimes I can just snap especially when direly tilted, so I think something like this could be very beneficial.

Ps. I won't turn chat off because I shotcall my team a lot. I do have the presence of mind to turn it off if I'm getting upset.

The warning is the rules. The fact that you don't think before typing isn't Riot's problem, nor the problem of the people you choose to flame. Control yourself.

Riot used to give you a warning if you were toxic after the game.

It said something like "if you continue this behaviour youll get banned"

Then Riot realized they can make more money banning accounts without warnings, even though it takes multiple games to get a ban, unless you say something awful.

I wish we could just block out the chat all together.

like really block it out. not seeing it, not having it when pressing enter.

just.. nothing..

At any rate, I think upon logging in you should be notified of how many times you were reported in your previous session, if at all. It shouldn't be a "warning" or another level to the warning system, just something for transparency. Might mean less people coming to this section and raging about being banned for only "1 game".

They used to give warnings like that. Problem is people didn't read and thought they were getting punished. Support tickets were flooding in so they took away the warnings.

Unfortunately no. Riot considers their punishments leading up to a permaban to be warnings.

Yeah maybe a vague message that your honor progress has been slowed due to mild toxicity would be okay. Nothing too specific though, as it could be used to pinpoint exactly what you can get away with.
