Can we get a timestamp for the lobby chat in blind mode? Simple solution to role stealing

Hey,

I know this has been suggested before and it baffles me that this is not implemented yet, which is why I want to raise the issue again. It seems incredibly simple to implement since it's even already in place in the actual game, and it would avoid a lot of conflicts and bad games.

I like to play blind mode because games start more quickly than in draft mode and you have much higher chances of playing the champ you want. But it's extremely annoying when I type my role first in chat, and then another person says they are the first and they spend the game trying to steal your role, ruining it for everybody.

At first I thought they were trolls, but now I've come to realize that many people, especially with a poor connection, actually believe they were first. So why not allow timestamps in lobby chat to get hard proof of who said it first ? I'm sure that the vast majority of "role-stealing" wouldn't occur with that.

Now I know that Riot does not endorse this unwritten rule. But they don't have to endorse it to add something as simple as that.

And by the way, I think this belongs in a "suggestion" forum, but I didn't find one, so sorry if this post is in the wrong forum.

There is no role calling or role stealing in blind pick. Typing your role out is merely saying your preference.

All five people can go into the jungle if they want.

So, you have a faster connection, which means you get first crack at a role? That is rather unfair, especially since most people who join late would be forced to (very frequently) be support.

This would belong in GD, or possibly Gameplay (but usually Gameplay is intended to be in-game conversation, not pre-/post-game).
