Why are people I report never banned?

I have been told numerous times to kill myself, drink bleach, get cancer, etc. Why are these people never punished when I report them?

EDIT: I should probably mention that I used to report people for saying "gg easy." That may have undermined my report credibility. Still, I think I should have some voice when people tell me to kill myself.

Your reports probably hold little to no weight.

If you report too much, your reports end up being worth less, and less, and probably after a while, your reports mean nothing. Personally for me, I don't think reports do a thing at this point, unless the person that is being reported has the same attitude for the next 100+ games.

I know for sure that my reports are worthless at this point. I've reported many people who are openly toxic in the postgame chat, and because of that, my reports mean nothing now. Riot has pretty much trained me to continue to let the community be toxic, and make the community on par with that of the Call of Duty community, since I notice that none of the people who I report end up ever getting banned, even if they used the most vulgar insults, and made the game extremely negative.

Sorry for your terrible experience. I'm sure many others on this forum share your sentiment, since people on this forum talk about this on a near daily basis.

I have officially begun to think it was a terrible idea for Riot to start sending those messages that let you know someone has been punished. Now whenever people don't get one, they think nothing has happened. Funny thing is, it doesn't mean someone isn't getting punished. A couple weeks ago I was playing a game with my best friend, and we both ended up reporting the same player afterwards for raging. My friend received the whole "A player you have reported..." message, and I got nothing. I could have assumed that my report didn't do, or mean anything, but it obviously did; I just didn't get the notification.

It could be that your report weight is low, but realistically you will never know if your reports lead to anything the overwhelming majority of the time.

Brother i feel the same way, They dont get reported for anything they do and when you retaliate you get in trouble. Im a victim of Perma-ban.. account worth over $750+ and i lost it because i showed human emotion to people who seek pleasure in my pain and anger. For example: players in blind pick that will spam the lane they want in the chat and when they dont get it they either instalock and not say a word again until the match is over or even pick another lane such as jungle and "accidentally feed double buffs to your lane at level 4 with out any ping or word of warning that they are ganking leave alone diving a turret. They will not be negative in the chat so they will be negative and troll you physically in the game where the bot cant pick up the toxic behavior and lack of teamwork/sportsmanship.

They will only trust the Chat bots that record everything even though they have all the money needed to hire people to sit there and REWATCH an entire game to observe the cause of the toxic behavior by the one that was reported. I for one would not care if someone cursed me out or told me to kill myself because i have been suicidal before, and if something were to happen, its on RIOT when the police check my hospital files for confirmation.

Aside from that, talking a whole lot of S**t to me would not concern me much since i can just mute them BUT the fact they can affect my GAMEPLAY and the TEAMS OUTCOME is a problem and that needs to be fixed ASAP!

I have made another account and will continue playing, but like i said, if something were to happen to me... RIOT has to fix there system NOW, and im NOT the only one with this situation. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

I've found that it really just depends on how often they do it. If you are truly toxic (telling people to kill themselves, get cancer, etc.), you won't be banned if you don't do it often.

Because these players do not get reported consistently.

I have noticed punishments only get sent out if the user is reported game after game

ok just let you know what Riot doesn't care now. They think if we even leave their game they still have money from those shiiters. i played 2 game with same guy, someone pushed a hard tick in his asss and he fails every game he attends, so lucky he was in my 2 games in promote, yeh he got at least 4 reports for each game, i saved his name on gg.op, and the next game even the next day he still in game. That's why i said even tribunal they closed it and now we don't even know when they wanna work with these case or not. maybe when they got someone money first and will take a look it. This game is worse day by day, i think Overwatch is new game will help, even if your teammate suck but you are good, you win. that's how they called is Fairplay.

cuz they are focusing earn money, why do they ban someone who will give them money?

If you're reporting people after every game your reports will start to have less impact.
