Leaverbuster because my ISP disconnects my internet

My ISP disconnects my internet during a game last night, probably because they find it funny to piss their customers off, and I get 20 minute queues for it. How is that fair?

20-minute leaverbuster is only given after a history of leaving. You need to work your way through a grace period, a 5-minute penalty, and a 10-minute penalty.

I had one leaverbuster before this account hit 30. It was also 20 minutes. I never got a 5 minute or 10 minute queue timer. You're just flat out incorrect.

And I'm telling you that never happened. I went straight to 20 minutes both times. Bear in mind the first one happened about 2-3 months ago.

One of two things is true:

A) You've somehow skipped leaverbuster tiers. Submit a support ticket for either an official explanation or compensation, because that's not normal.

B) You're lying, or at best mistaken. Maybe you share an account or something.

A) There is no reason for submitting a support ticket; the FAQ states that they won't remove leaves, so why would I bother sending a ticket in?

B) If you don't believe me, I can't change that, but I don't see what I gain from lying about this considering what I just said in A. This is my account that nobody has ever touched but me. I leveled it up on my own, I've spent money on it, I'm the only one that has used it.

A support ticket would at least get somebody to explain to you why you're passing punishment tiers. Something isn't normal. I've been forced to leave a small handful of games over the years due to emergency situations, but I've never exceeded the grace period to even receive a 5-minute penalty. If you went straight to 20, something is up. Just explain the situation and ask why it happened, it can't hurt.

As for why you'd be lying... Sorry, I'm just jaded. You'd think lying about your punishment history wouldn't accomplish anything, but it happens constantly on these boards. Folks show us edited chat logs to hide their toxicity and garner support, even though any actual Riot employee will know they're lying. People just suck.

You'll just have to believe me when I say I'm not lying. I'm not going to bother with a support ticket, they won't do anything about it. My queue timer wasn't even 20 minutes; it exceeded half an hour before it stopped searching for a game. I had to reinitialize the queue which resets it, so I just waited over half an hour just to have to wait for another 20+ minutes. Pretty sure I'm experiencing a bug.

Based on the information you're giving us, at least one mistake has been made. I don't understand why you wouldn't submit a support ticket. They'd at least answer your questions as to WHY you're experiencing this trouble.

Another interesting thing is that my queue timer keeps resetting randomly. I've now been in a queue for 21 minutes, and my queue timer is still up and reads "13 minutes."

What kind of bullshit is this?

That's odd, here is what it says in the FAQ

HOW LONG WILL I REMAIN IN THE LOW PRIORITY QUEUE? You will be placed in the low priority queue for 5 games. If you continuously leave, the low priority queue timers increase from 5 minutes per game to 10 minutes per game and then capping out at 20 minutes per game.

I've looked at that FAQ enough times to know it's incorrect. I went straight to 20 minutes for both of my infractions.

I know the FAQ is correct, I had a period of extremely high anxiety and often left games, usually in champ select. I had two 5min penalties, then a 10min and then 20min, always in groups of five. These were, however, acquired over a long period of time and I now have a history of leaving and I will get 20 min penalties. I rarely leave games and have not had a LB in over a year and a half.

The reason they say they do not overturn punishments is, in short, due to everyone wanting a "free pass" and as such they stand by their systems and do not make exceptions unless they were applied in error. Errors and bugs are realities and they know it, if you got 5 20min queue timers from single games it is obviously a bug in the system and they should be made aware of it. Submitting a support ticket could not only help you but also help other players from a similar unfair punishment

While it might not seen fair to you all riot knows is that you left the game, if they start fishing out leave buster punishments based on what's "fair" and what's "not fair" everybody would have an excuse as to why they left a game to avoid punishment.

Not really you still left the game and left your team a man down, just because you had issues doesn't mean you get off without a punishment, whether it was your fault or not the fact is you still left the game and forced your team into a 4 vs 5.

I have never been punished for intentionally leaving. I ended up needing to leave a game twice in a row with no punishment, not even a warning. Every damn time my ISP drops internet at random hours, I get instant slapped with a 20 minute queues, no warnings. I would catch ISP maintenance every other month or so. I'll sometimes forget I have a game running, and it will take 3-5 AFK warning triggers into remakes to receive a punishment.
