I can't log in. I got a message saying I was banned. It says check my email but I have no emails. I had no chat restrictions or previous bans. I don't violate the summoners code. I just had a player tell me he hopes I'm killed in mass shooting but he is playing another game right now whilst I cannot. I have never even received a chat restriction or any sort of warning of having been reported.

What is going on? All I can think of is that enemy team troll 5x reported me and that triggered a false ban?

Put in a support ticket instead of complaining on the boards.

Make sure your email is verified with your account first by clicking your profile on the top right of this page and going to Settings. If it's correct check your spam folder to ensure the email wasn't sent there. If the correct email is verified and you didn't get an email still, submit a Support Ticket to get more information on your ban.

I shouldn't have my access to the game restricted during this mistake. It will take umpteen hours for a support ticket. What is this?

I accepted the summoners code long ago. I get finished a series game with a troll enemy team with two players professing I should literally die as a human being without provocation or reciprocation and I am banned yet they are playing.

Ugh, i cant find the post, I hate these new forums.

but when did riot say that after X amount of time they reduce the "tier" of punishment? I always assumed especially since I have gone 3+ months at a time not doing anything, and then the 1 time i flip they do the next tier of punishment.

May I ask you a question and maybe answer you one ?

How do you mean you did 3+ months of not doing a thing...If you mean you haven't played the account in question then the easy answer is because you have to work punishments off by playing a neutral to good game, If you don't play at all on the account then the same punishment tier is still there.

In other words, if you get punished on one of your accounts you still have to play the account to work of the punishments. Their rules not mine, TBH I agree with this! I hope this helped you or someone reading. GLF
