A question about Report Feedback

The other day I was playing premade with my friend. We had a person in our team who fed intentionally and, later on, went afk. At the end of the game, we reported him. The next day, me and my friend opened our LoL client and he got a report feedback, saying that, thanks to his report, a negative player has being punished by the Tribunal, but I didn't get notified about it. So my question is: what does it take for me to get report feedback? Do my reports need to be 100% legit? Do I need to be a positive player in general, although I do consider myself to be one, in order to be taken more seriously when I report someone? Any info would be appreciated.
