But then you wonder what the hell everyone is doing and god it just doesn't make any sense at all then you pray the enemy sucks...

If peeps don't like off meta picks then they should actually know what everyone is doing so the meta could be followed.

Champ Select:

Ignoramus: ? oh god another troll Ignoramus: why is it always me? Ignoramus: fking bronze noobs Ignoramus: gg report this troll

During Game (if they're doing poorly-- doesn't matter how well I'm doing, but if I'm losing lane then it's obviously because of my pick and not because of anything else):

Ignoramus: your build Me: your score Ignoramus: why troll? Me: it's my fault you're feeding? Ignoramus: report this troll

or:

Ignoramus: full ap support noob Ignoramus: i don't want to play with this guy Ignoramus: lol no support keep roaming Ignoramus: why troll?

Why even bother talking? Why not just focus on your own gameplay? If he's trying he's trying. If he's a troll he's a troll. Could you explain why you think any criticism or pseudo-kindness would be of any help?

Asking if a player has ever played the champion is helpful to me in terms of how I ADC with them as a support. Pretty obvious. Asking them to play safer is now considered toxic? What a snowflake.

I don't consider it toxic, I consider it stupid. Have you ever played adc before? I'm only asking so I know how helpful you are to me in terms of how I support with you as an ADC. The irony is that if I reverse the position/question, people like you get very very offended and do not hesitate to claim "omg my supp is a troll, pls report".

I consider pointless pseudo-criticism masked as "strategies" to be stupid, yes. It's a false "hey are you bad or good because I'm going to play accordingly to your level of skill".

Never have I ever witnessed someone play better after having someone else telling them to "play safer", or asking: "are you new?" "have you ever played X champion before?".

Use your brain.

I cannot get over how dumb you are. It isn't offensive, it's counter-productive. It doesn't make the person play safer. If you're doing badly, they see your score and they'll note that your advice is A. unwarranted and B. hypocritical

I mean what exactly can we do to change the mentality of these people. There will always be people like this, not only in this game, but every other type of game like this. This is also why you shouldn't retaliate when someone is being toxic towards you just because of your pick/item build/etc. as long as you are trying to win it shouldn't matter. Report these people and mute them in game if it's that much of a bother!

If I really wanted the win I could be a prestigious monk but if I spot a whiny, angry "blame-everyone-but-me" teammate(s) then my motivation disappears and I no longer want the win. I'm pretty sure any other team-oriented game works the same way. I can't think of any sport or e-sport where teammates shit on each other (with malicious intent) and still want to work together.

I'm actually playing jhin mid a lot in normals (my connection is a bit unstable and gives too much 2k lag spikes, which i don't bring into ranked), and i got so much flame for that...it really annoys me. Like since pick they just typing "jhin mid? Are you on drugs?" and stuff like this, even when you're asking to check your op.gg or other resourse that PROOVES VIABILITY OF IT(i won most of the games this way) they still call you troll, and sometimes even refuse to communicate with you to proove his point(example, i got dove by jungler and enemy midlaner, killed one, almost killed jungler, but eventually died.saw mine jungler farming raptors,gently asked him why he farmed raptors when i got banged in tower, ofc answer was"your pick is bad, see i was right?" and if we somehow losing the game(regardless that you had like 70% kill participation 5 kda and most dmg in the team) you will be blamed for"troll jhin mid" for 99%,sometimes even enemy midlaner protects me because he felt all jhin power on himself and call call it troll after that.It's very fun and can hold lane decently even against zed, kata, fizz,which meant to be jhin's counter(as you can build around them early and pick something more usefull instead of heal).I would understand that hate in pick in ranked, but why i can't play something fun in NORMALS?And when someone bans my jhin because"don't play this champ mid" I usually pick ad janna, to make them happy(not int, not ruin games,still trying to win, just ad janna mid, which is not breaking any rules of summoner's code)+if someone wants to pick jhin bot i usually don't take this pick.Just i can't understand why if it's not "meta" peoples being so nervous about it, no matter how well you performed on this pick
