But then you wonder what the hell everyone is doing and god it just doesn't make any sense at all then you pray the enemy sucks...
If peeps don't like off meta picks then they should actually know what everyone is doing so the meta could be followed.
I mean what exactly can we do to change the mentality of these people. There will always be people like this, not only in this game, but every other type of game like this. This is also why you shouldn't retaliate when someone is being toxic towards you just because of your pick/item build/etc. as long as you are trying to win it shouldn't matter. Report these people and mute them in game if it's that much of a bother!
I'm actually playing jhin mid a lot in normals (my connection is a bit unstable and gives too much 2k lag spikes, which i don't bring into ranked), and i got so much flame for that...it really annoys me. Like since pick they just typing "jhin mid? Are you on drugs?" and stuff like this, even when you're asking to check your op.gg or other resourse that PROOVES VIABILITY OF IT(i won most of the games this way) they still call you troll, and sometimes even refuse to communicate with you to proove his point(example, i got dove by jungler and enemy midlaner, killed one, almost killed jungler, but eventually died.saw mine jungler farming raptors,gently asked him why he farmed raptors when i got banged in tower, ofc answer was"your pick is bad, see i was right?" and if we somehow losing the game(regardless that you had like 70% kill participation 5 kda and most dmg in the team) you will be blamed for"troll jhin mid" for 99%,sometimes even enemy midlaner protects me because he felt all jhin power on himself and call call it troll after that.It's very fun and can hold lane decently even against zed, kata, fizz,which meant to be jhin's counter(as you can build around them early and pick something more usefull instead of heal).I would understand that hate in pick in ranked, but why i can't play something fun in NORMALS?And when someone bans my jhin because"don't play this champ mid" I usually pick ad janna, to make them happy(not int, not ruin games,still trying to win, just ad janna mid, which is not breaking any rules of summoner's code)+if someone wants to pick jhin bot i usually don't take this pick.Just i can't understand why if it's not "meta" peoples being so nervous about it, no matter how well you performed on this pick
