Has Riot Ever addressed Baiting?

(Preface this with that I have not received any punishments. This is just a problem I see a lot)

Where players on the enemy team do everything in their power to bait you into flaming them and then report you?

Cause like. You can mute Mastery if they are spamming it every time they get a kill. You can mute them when they chat things that are purposely designed to bait you into flaming them. But you know what you can't do? Mute the emotes of the champions.

People will Spam laugh and emotes while playing to try and tilt you and get you to flame them. Then report you.

Sure the "solution" is "Just don't flame them 4Head" but like...... has this ever been addressed.

There's this brand new behavioral theory out there that may be helpful. Apparentlyyyyyy it's known as "self-control". While this behavior is not commonly found in the League of Legends community, it nevertheless is said to be a great answer to a lot of behavioral issues within the game. It might be something you can look into to help.

Unfortunately, this is simply something you have to be able to deal with as a person. The concept of skirting the line of the rules while actively trying to get other people to cross the line is not an unknown concept anywhere.

This is a problem in real life as well.

muting a player mutes their emotes as well.

You want Rito to ban the enemy for trying to tilt you? Isn't that a pretty good strategy if you actually got tilted?

I mean, what do you want riot to do about it?

I am pretty sure that muting a player mutes its voice emotes. [zombie-brand-facepalm]

None of that would be considered baiting.

Baiting would be something like (Player on your team) "What letters come after j, x, and r?" or "Say some racial slurs or I'll feed".

To be baiting there has to be a hidden trap, or some incentive to perform an action that is clearly against the rules. Baiting is punishable.

I also notice that you've played a couple games against Veigar. He's coded by Riot to /laugh when he gets kills with his ult. Don't let that tilt you.

If you cant control your flames why do you have all chat enabled? I mean theres 0 reason to have all chat. It wont help you team in any way. In ally chat you call objectives in all chat you getting tilted more lol

What is life if a digital character giggling at you causes you to fly into an uncontrollable rage?

Yeah I've seen people get punished for it. Its usually in those "wtf i didnt do anything wrong" threads. Then you see their chat logs are full of taunting, not necessarily insulting, baiting phrases.

So i tell them you know youre really egging them on with this and that. And they go OH SO I DESERVE A BAN EVEN THOUGH EVERY GAME IS FULL OF SHIT TEN TIMES WORSE? And then I realize im talking to a moron and end the communication lol.

I will say though, you will never be punished for using emotes. Thats the only legal kind of baiting there is, and I see nothing wrong with it actually.
