Regarding To Season End Rewards

Before anything I just want Riot to know that I am not bitter, I just want to know the reason behind this.

After playing League for more than 3 years, I was finally able to get to Gold this year. Around August 18th I was banned for 14 days, please keep this in mind that this is before the end of season reward announcement was made. Now I am not saying I do not deserve to be banned, and I understand why riot banned me, then gave me a 80 game chat restriction, plus over 50 normal draft wins to play ranked again. I completely understand. I was toxic so I was punished. However after I had done my punishment, I learned that Riot has added that any player who was banned prior to August 10th will lose their season awards.

I would not be making this thread if this announcement was made prior to August 10th, I would not be saying anything if I had knew this was coming prior to my 14 day ban, the problem is that I did not. I had thought that after the punishment i received, i would be done paying my due and move forward, however I only found out that there was more punishment added on later, why punish me after I already did my time?

After seeing this, I decided to email riot support and here is a shorter version of what I sent:

Me: "I understand that I was banned and understand my punishments, but why was there more punishment added? I am not begging for my end of season rewards back, but I want to make a deal with you guys. If I can prove that I will not incur anymore toxic behaviors until the end of the season, i can have the season end rewards. On the other hand, if I ever incur toxic behaviors again in the future you guys can take away my season rewards. I believe that is fair and will keep me determined from being toxic in the game."

Riot's Reply (in short):

Riot: "Sorry you been banned prior to August 10th and are no longer eligible for season rewards."

I understand that Riot wants to reduce toxicity and have a better game community, even though I am toxic from time to time and are punished for it, I still support Riot's decision on punishing those type of behaviors. However taking away season reward for people who got banned and only let those people know afterwards that they are no longer eligible is not the way to go. That will only promote more toxic behavior from those players. I think for players who were banned after August 10th but prior to the announcement of losing end of season rewards should at least get a chance of retaining their season rewards until further infractions of toxic behaviors have occurred. I believe this will help those players to be a lot less toxic.

TL;DR As far as this End of Season Goes, I believe that anyone who has been banned should have a hold of their End of Season Reward instead of not getting anything; and those player's season rewards will be lost if they incur anymore toxic behaviors in the future. There is no need to further punish people after the ban punishment, chat and draft-normal restrictions, especially over a performance based reward.
