A plea to moderate your behavior, even if it technically is not against the summoners code.
Alright, hear me out here.
You can skip this paragraph if you don't want to read my amazing and wonderful tale of woe. I just had a okay ranked game, went into Kha'zix jungle, was a little perturbed by an all AD comp with Gragas support, but otherwise I felt like we had a decent chance to snowball Fiora and Yasuo and hope bot lane pulled a miracle or at least went equal. Course, It failed miserably, enemy Ivern stole a buff every spawn making it really hard for me to get EXP, I did a some counter jungling on the minor camps and tried to camp mid lane because top lane was shoved pretty hard even if Fiora had less HP. In the end, bot lane lost and Ivern was out of control, he ganked top a lot which was the best because Fiora was pushed and such, I had a good start despite being EXP deprived(Ivern was 6 when I was 4), but I'm also not some god tier jungle main. At this point things are looking pretty grim, the enemy team hadn't even started building Armor and Orianna was coming on huge despite me getting 2 kills on her early. Thresh was roaming hard and they had a ton of protection. Now I give credit to my team for not giving up, although our Grag was a bit butt hurt.
Now here is where it started to actually started feeling less of a game and more of verbal assertion of dominance, and If you are a player like this, please stop. No one likes to play games with people like you. The player in question immediately started throwing our taunts and insulted me in particular. Don't kick the loser for being not as good as you. That's just being a real expierience ruiner. I was going to walk out of that game feeling a little regretful that I couldn't pull out a win, but I left feeling assaulted and bitter that someone went the extra mile to "rub it in" and insult me for being bad, despite it only being one game where I underperformed in comparison to their team.
Look, I don't think trash talk is a bad thing in the right context, it sparks competition and I think that's fine. But, being the guy that abuses people after clearly going to win is just being a massive jerk, its like asking for a knife fight and bringing a nuke, because you have a weapon to brandish. Don't be the sore winner, no one likes sore winners, heck, I bet sore winners are more disliked than sore losers.
I'm not trying to call people out, or attack back at said player, although I admit I am very upset while writing this, but rather I hope this post is insightful for people out there who recognize themselves as "that player." So please, moderate your behavior so that less people get hurt in a game they play to have fun.
Thanks!
