I am writing this post when I am 9-0 in placements. I am still being placed with silvers and bronzes even though I have gotten 6 S grades in placements, I think I'm going to be placed in B1-S5 bec that's what I'm being placed with. Is this just the beginning of the season or is it a glitch or am i just bad???? I ended season 6 in gold 5 and intend on getting plat this season, and I really don't want to be placed in bronze again, I've done my time there. Should I wait longer to play the last one in hopes they fix the glitch or should I just accept the OK ranking i get?

If you finished Gold 5 last season don't expect anything more than Silver....Even the best challenger players in the world can only get Plat at the highest.

As I've found, it is always best to NEVER jump into ranked at the start of the season. You have a higher chance to be placed EVEN lower then before the moment you jump right in because everyone is set it a base Silver MMR. That will cause a lot of people to end up low silver or bottom bronze (even if they were higher in the last season).

I've placed two seasons in a row at Silver III by NOT doing placements with in the first month, and thus it worked out a lot better. I had climbed Silver II in season 5 and Gold 5 in season 6, and that was after the Silver III placements twice in a row. So it's usually best to wait it out and not dive right in.

So where did you get placed and is this flex or solo?

I went 6 and 4, got placed in silver 1 disappointing wanted gold. Doubt I'll bother to play it. Had I gone 7 3 and gotten gold like pre season I'd play it. But I'm going to probably place around the same in solo queue might as well play that. Plus the icon for solo queue is bigger.

No point in playing the small icon queue less prestige.

Got my secondary role FIVE times in placement lol. Made me want to run it down mid for real lol, way more than a toxic player would.

both of my plat accounts are placed in silver, so I don't know why you are complaining if you got placed in bronze from gold
