I was in a game with 4 bots. Like seriously? I guess everyone will just have to quit co-op vs ai and farm pvp instead now. I doubt Riot can fix this but I just wanted to bring it to their attention because it is ruining our gaming experience.
Awkward Couch1 votesPlayer vs. AI is plagued with bots and to be honest, there really isn't much that anyone can do about it. There are a lot of services that can sell you a clean, level 30 account, ready to play ranked right now for about 15$. Most people don't want to grind to level 30 so they just buy accounts and play Ranked right away. Detecting bot software is not easy, especially when every different service uses their own form of botting software. While it may be obvious to you, a human playing in the game, that you are playing with bots, to a computer who isn't playing the game, it's hard to distinguish.

Botting ruins the game on so many levels. There is the wasted time and ruined games with the bots. There are the people who buy/use the botted accounts who's skill and rank are not in sync, diminishing every game they play until those two things meet up. People get and have accounts that they do not value which means they do not care about the repercussions of their actions.
Bots are always tricky and especially so since league is free to play. People are making fortunes botting and selling accounts. That is a lot of incentive to keep going. Combating bots is typically not very effective as it creates a build a 10 foot wall and they build an 11 foot ladder situation. So you ban this wave of dumb bots. The next wave gets a little smarter to avoid the detection. Detection upgraded, etc etc.
