riot NEEDS to change policy on "toxicity". almost all toxic behavior comes from this

almost all intentional feeding is done because someone wants to just leave the game. people should be allowed to leave games, and in a world where that is allowed, then intentional feeding should be bannable of course

But the truth is in a world where people are allowed to leave games, in that world there would be almost zero people who actually take the time to "intentional feed". because "intentional feeding" is mostly an outlet for people who are frustrated that riot is forcing them to play a game they think is over

How has this flawed system has been allowed to exist for so long. Here is how i view league

League is a 5v5 team game. sure. and once one person on my team has lost faith in the team, then i do not want to play the game anymore with him. i dont want to have to play with him, yet i am forced to. i hate how riots system forces us 5 to play together even when one person has lost faith.

i do not have fun with league anymore once one person on my team has lost faith in victory. Yet riots system forces us to waste hours and hours playing with people who dont want to play together (and the more you play league, the more hours you will eventually be forced to play with people who dont want to play together).

And forcing us to do hours and hours of an activity that is downright unfun will of course ultimately lead to increases in the emotions of hatred and anger in many young males, which actually breeds more toxic behavior in young males that by nature are at their highest testosterone levels which creates dominating and aggressive behaviors which is natural in mammal species because dominating and aggressive behavior is what allowed the strongest males to dominate the species and have offpsring. Aggressive and dominant behavior is what usually wins in nature, and humans are a part of nature, our ancestors were more aggressive and dominant than their competition, so they won and had children, and we inherited their DNA that produces these emotions. We should not fear or look down upon what we are

Now of course we want a system thats fun and fair for everyone. I will say that system in a moment. But first to conitnue the point

Riots system itself is what helps breed that toxicity. Taking many young males and forcing them to play together in a highly competitive game when they dont want to and repeating the process over and over again. of course many of those young males will have their aggression and domination drives triggered and overloaded due to the repeated hours he has to spend playing with people he does not enjoy.

The solution to all this is so simple. Let people leave games. Give people a "drop out" option where if they click it and accept, they immediately take a loss and leave the game and can join a new game, and their team can try to win 4v5 if they want, and if they do win the 4v5 then the person who left does not get a win.

WIth my solution, all "toxic" behaviors such as racist chat, intentional feeding, and those things can still be bannable. Because anyone who does that instead of just "leaving the game" is indeed a pure douchebag and should banned. But with my solution, almost all of that toxic behavior will stop because people are smart enough to realize just leaving the game is the most easy solution.

I dont think my system to leave games will be abused much. But maybe it might be used by someone high elo to tank to bronze and stomp games for fun? maybe? Im not sure. I guess there are some ways it can be abused. But it certainly is better than the current system.

Also. If someone has won enough games to be at my ELO, then he has proved he is near my skill level. If he wants to leave a game cuz he thinks i suck, i dont have a problem with him leaving. And if he leaves enough games, eventually he will drop so low and i wont see him anymore. But if he keeps winning games to prove he is at my skill level, then i believe he has a right to end his games if he feels they are over. And i should have that right too. And if i dont want him to end his games with me, then i need to make myself GOOD ENOUGH to impress that person so much that when he sees my skill and he will have faith in me and he will want to try to win for me out of his sheer respect for my skill. And if i cant do that, then i wont complain at all if he leaves my game

people are going to downvote this because theyre scared of it. but there is truth to much of the toxicity coming from 10 emotionally volitile people being essentially trapped in a cage with each other

You are probably right that it would reduce intentional feeding, but that doesn't improve the experience of playing at all. Realistically it is going to lead to a worse experience since playing a game to the end is going to be difficult with people leaving left and right.

Making something not a crime is a silly way to reduce crime. Leaving is just as big, if not worse of a problem than intentional feeding.

If you use the "Leave Game" button already in place, and do not reconnect, yes you will take a loss. Unfortunately, since you left your team is a much worse position, then you will be punished.

League is a team game. If the TEAM wants to quit, then a surrender vote will pass. If YOU want to quit but the rest of your team wants to keep playing, then it is your responsibility as a member of the team to play to the bitter (or glorious) end.

Imagine a middle-school baseball fielder who decides he doesn't want to play anymore and starts picking dandelions on the field. He misses every hit to his area, does not help his team, and ends up getting benched for the season. "But I just didn't feel like playing that game, coach!" So what? You signed up to play, so now you are responsible for doing your part.
